That's the thing with L4D frag vids, they can't really be 'frag' vids. The game isn't just based upon out shooting your opponents. In other titles such as COD, then yeah, give us just mad shots and clutches because that's what the game is about.
A vid needs to be done that shows off the main fundamental of the game, team work. Explaining how it happened in the clip can be hard but not impossible. By all means use a map saving bullshit punt here and there or a insane flick shot skeet but try and get some really solid plays rather than some hero taking on a hunter that he may have got but has failed and cost his team more often than not.
That's the other thing that losses me off. Half of these quads you see in L4D vids are just 'herpa durpa kgo', usually showing the smoker hit first and the other hunters just randomly hit survivors. The other night we hit quad that went like this:
Hunters jumped in and deliberately jumped around to separate survivors, smoker spawned up, hunters were comm'd to go in and the smoker picked the last one from a nice safe distance. That to me is a perfectly executed quad.
So more focus on teamwork and less on random luck of a sloppy hitbox. It doesn't have to be just quads, there is numerous times where 2 survivors do some amazing shit to completely alter a maps outcome.
Meltdown, that vid is awesome, no doubt about it. Although just cos someone has done it, doesn't mean someone else can't make one as well. Otherwise I'll ring the local video shop and tell them they have to throw out all the action movies and just leave Rambo there.
Try and get some audio of some comm work in there. No doubt Meshu, Archie or even Reaver would have some moments where they thought '**** that was a good call'. Especially Meshu, biggest head since neanderthals.
