Hey there.

I just installed BC2 for the first time since I bought it (bout 12 months ago). When I'm loading to enter a server I crash. I noticed that the CPU usage is 100% for a bit, then it crashes. Memory leak maybe? I even get this windows message saying that my PC is running slow... lol

Specs:
X6 1090T @ 4.2
470GTX
4GB Corsair Dom

Things I have done so far:
Check drivers are up to date
Ran as administrator
Turned off all programs running in background

Apart from that, I really don't know what to try. I did having troubles installing the game off my disc so I d/l'ed an image, although, I doubt that has anything to do with as it installed and updated fine.

Is this a common problem in BC2? Sorry, my knowledge of this game is nil. I did search a little bit, but all the problems seem to ancient, so finding anything was hard.

Regards,
Tratty

The neg - Config tweak the game to the point you have as much advantage as a hacker.

Oh thx Neg

Nvidia driver version: 266.58 (latest)
Nvidia settings: Have never even opened the panel, only thing I have done is up the fan speed.

And yeah, was opening from the desktop. Just tried going into the EA folder and booting from BFBC2 app, same thing happened.

The moment the loading screen comes up the cpu goes from 20% to 50% to 100%, holds... crash

Is the game updated? Normally when you open it will run the updater to check then start the game. The updates are normally pretty big. Just curious i didn't read anywhere that you had said you updated the game I don't see why it won't start if your gfx drivers are updated and the games updated. Specs are obv ok to run it.

It does sound like it could be a patch issue.
My game does not auto update, and I have to do it manually. Just open your updater.exe and run that.

Yah mine did do it auto at the start. Now it doesn't. But yes try run the updater manually and see what happens.

Sorry I didn't update.

I ran the updater and it 'retrieved game info' then booted the game up. Still crashes.
