Someone may have this issue somewhere else but I don't have time to look.

Anyway,

My computer has been running fine for awhile now and all of a sudden the other day I was playing NBA 2k11 on my left screen and watching a video on my right screen. And both my screens when into standby mode, the computer was still running because I could hear the audio and still blindly control NBA 2K11. The reason I say left and right screen is because that would cancel out the fact of broken screens if both go into stand by mode. And this issue has happened randomly about 3 to 4 times in the last week.

I though it was my gfx card so I tried my mobo display ports and still didn't work. So there goes my theory.

Any help would be appreciated.

Does the problem occur when only running one monitor, or different monitors entirely?

Haven't had the chance to test it with one, moved to Melbourne last week and getting it sent this week. Just seeing if I could get some help before it arrived.

well it could be either the graphics card failing or power supply not giving enough juice (but I would think that'd cause crashes, or monitor failure.

in terms of software: if it only happens in the one program then the solution is obvious: stop using that program, or update it.

if it happens no matter the program, but has to stress the video card to do it, I'd look in terms of hardware/driver issues

if it happens no matter the program, it could be again, drivers, or operating system, or the monitors.

just a basic run down of the kind of way you have to go about figuring the shit out

hope it helps.
