Alcohol is a drug which causes more deaths then marijuana, cigaretts are a drug and they kill more people then marijuana and if they dont kill the smoker they cause very long term damage... so with the argument its what they do not where they come from what about what cigaretts and alcohol do....???

im not argueing to legalise marijuana because it s good im arguing to legalise or at least decriminalise it because its bad just like ciggaretts, alcohol, and other everyday items and why should it be any different...

Regardless of the reasons why cannabis should or should not be illegal, decriminalising drugs as a whole in my opinion would be much more beneficial for society as it takes drugs out of the criminal context, and into a medical one - and real life examples such as Portugal above (or Denmark) show that rather than drug use increasing with decriminalisation, it decreases.
