Attention WA players!

RED FLAG LAN FEST - NEW VENUE FOR EASTER GAMING EVENT 2011

Image

The main reason for me making this thread is because RedFlag has announced that there will no longer be the traditional CSS 5v5 comp. They have replaced it with a "Fun" FFA Gungame comp..
Basically I'm trying to grab a whole lot more lanners to come down a play because since redflag is WA only lan, we want to keep WA CSS alive. So please check out the link below and express your feelings to try and bring back source.
http://forums.rflan.org/index.php?showtopic=2525&pid=28485&s

Start Saturday, April 30 2011 10:00 AM
Finish Sunday, May 1 2011 02:00 PM
Cost $40.00

Event Information

COMPETITIONS: Usually consisting of CSS,CoD, DOTA, TF2, SC2 and various others, if there is enough interest for something the admins will generally make it happen. If there's a game you'd like to see played, get on to their forums and generate some interest.

RFLAN 35 will be held at the new Curtin Stadium complex at Curtin University, heralding a new age for Perth's largest computer gaming event.
Local and interstate computer gamers will swarm into the $27 million sporting complex on 30 April to 1 May. Gamers will compete for prizes and glory in competitions scheduled across the action-packed weekend, while enjoying light entertainment and sponsor demonstrations in the air-conditioned stadium.

The venue change allows Red Flag to increase the attendance capacity at their consistently sold-out events. RFLAN 35 will cater for 400 gamers, with future events expected to entertain over 900 gamers at the new venue.

For any information regarding the event refer to www.rflan.org

When Korv's Winning LANS you know its a shit LAN.
When its the Best LAN in the state, you know you live in a state where 95% of the population are paint sniffers.
HAHA joking korv ily mate you know it.

ot; I have no idea why they would take source out of the LAN since it is still the 2nd highest bought FPS game of all time after 1.6. I have absolutly no idea how this fag can say its dead. Maybe he should join source and have a look at the 14000 odd servers just in Australia alone. OR maybe just check cybergamer and see how big the comps are compared to the teams registering for other games. This guy is a disgrace and shouldn'y be in charge of running the LAN since he obviously has no fking idea what he is talking about.

CSS in WA is dead because everytime there is a decent lan, we just make a super team and own everyone and take there cash. So shit ****s give up cause there not old school 1.6 mentality who keep trying till they progress, they go 'shit game' cause cant kill someone

The CSS Poll - RFLAN Discussion Board - Page 2

SUCCESS!!!
RedFlag has announced that #35 will include CS:Source into this schedule. Tho with this there are a few conditions they have made.
1. We have scrapped the $5 entry fee for CSS at this LAN
2. Competition will start at Midnight. This is expected to overlap with other competitions. If there is a conflict and any players are required to be playing in two matches at one time you will have to forfeit one of the competitions.
3. If less than 4 complete teams have signed up at the time the competition is scheduled to start at the LAN, we will not be running it.
4. If less than 8 teams compete in the competition at this LAN we will be removing CSS from the schedule at future events.
5. If there are more than 8 teams that compete in the competition at the event we will double the cash prize we will be offering. This cash prize is being funded out of RFLAN's back pocket.
6. We reserve the right to change any of these conditions at any time for any reason at our discretion.

I see rule 4 being really tough to achieve but with some hard out advertising i think it can be achieved. Please correct me if im wrong but currently we have the following teams attending:
direct-es
ep0c
auRa
Muren Sweden
qt
BigMcgees?

I know theres a few other ppl that have posted theyl bring a team but didnt leave a name.
Please try grab as many ppl as u can down.
