So im down in Brisbane on night's 2nd pc, and i reformatted the pc, put cod on and updated everything, so i was playing cod4 fine, then night decided he would play with me, as soon as he connected i ci'd from the server and now cannot connect to any servers whatsoever, just comes up with awaiting connection till i time out..... We even tried playing a lan game to see what was up, i got in fine, then it kicked me for error 9005, losing key packets......

Ive tried everything, tried updating firmware, tried reinstalling cod and i even reformatted twice whilst doing all this to see if it would work, but to no avail...... Plus i have cgm to play and ggf lan this weekend, so i kinda need to fix it lol, or i will have to turn to drinking again...
The only thing i think it could be is maybe the modem or somethin idk
So any help would be much appreciated thanks

I'd formant PC then put COD back on tbh.

But in all seriousness, my brothers and I had the same problem, reset the modem no problems since.

I'm going to go with a rookie response.

Update PunkBuster?

Also not exact same problems as you but I had to update ethernet driver once before.

i got the same problem but only to cg servers.

public servers are fine. Hinting that it is a routing / internet issue

Sounds like a routing issue. I'd suspect ports/router. But its hard to be sure. LAN shouldn't really be affected in any case, bit strange that it would drop out too.

Maybe the NIC on the PC is ****zored? Restart router, if that doesn't help, try directly connecting to nights PC with a network cable and see how it runs. Make sure windows firewall isn't blocking shit. Try another game?

Gotta narrow it down a bit further.

try disable your firewall. connect to a server, if it works then maybe its your firewall being gay if not then turn it back on and pray

Hmm, sounds like its stealing the port or something. Make sure Nat is enabled on the router, could help.
