Over the week before the semifinals took place I managed to ask a player from each of the teams competing in the CGi Semifinals some quick and easy questions, and here they are!

Endzone class:

First of all congratulations on reaching the finals of the CGi! Tell us how did you get into HoN and how did Endzone come to be the team that it is today?

i got into hon because my buddy hosebeast from da world of warcraft gave me a beta key so i could play in the world of newerth i played alot of dota but decided to switch over to hon because of engine. chicanery is my twin brother, ks4lyf is my husband, i kidnapped rogerdodger from his parents to play hon 24/7 in sweatshop conditions, bribed tda101 with pizza and a free house and jitters and my connection spans entire continents, we are one. honestly, endzone became the team today because we have a solid core and we haven't rage quit the team on each other (not gonna lie, i've given tda a hard time before, honestly more then he deserves, but he's stick around and improved so much that i'm really happy with his performance, and he should be giving me the hard time now, karma haha), a few players (mostly irl friends) have come and gone, but none have really 'left our team for another team' if that makes sense. i just think we're a pretty close knit team that values playing together over other aspects of the game. well i can't really speak for the rest of my team but i don't have fun at all unless i'm playing with my team or jenny (shoutout to jenny 1love)

Coming into the CGi, did you expect Endzone to do this well and make the top4?

yes

What was the hardest match (or the best team) that you played this season?

hhnh, only team that was challenging period.

Will we be seeing anything special from Endzone when they take on Zenith Gaming this weekend?

Who is the most annoying player you've come across in the solo lane and why?

slickz because honestly he's the only au player that i don't go into the match talking shit like "lmao look at this ****** in mid i'm raping him *die* omg i'm so bad *whole team laughs at me*", it's more like "hahaha holy shit missy has a big forehead *die* omg i was alt tabbed" seriously though slickz is a very dominant mid player and regardless of differences i respect his ability to pray hon velly gud

Finally what are your predictions for who will take out 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th this season?

not the team that has boostn LOL

Frenetic Array Wytaliba:

First of all congratulations on reaching the finals of the CGi! Tell us how did you get into HoN and how did Fray come to be the team that it is today?

Thanks! I started playing HoN after seeing a lot of my DotA mates playing HoN - at first I was very skeptical, I mean why play a copy of another game? I soon realised that HoN had a much smoother feel to it, and there was a lot of opportunity for the game to advance, which it has done nicely. Frenetic Array then picked up a great team, and I joined Fray through my links from Left 4 Dead days. The addition of Slickz and Dirgesnoopy for the Aus tournaments means Fray has some of Aus's best talent under its belt.

Coming into the CGi, did you expect Fray to do this well and make the top4?

There has been a lot of drama surrounding this tournament, (which all good tournaments should have mind you) so we knew anything, and probably would happen. We were pretty confident coming into this tournament that we reach the finals stage, and of course we had hoped to make the number one position.

What was the hardest match (or the best team) that you played this season?

I personally joined fray half way through the season so it's hard for me to comment on this question in that respect. Personally I think that all the games against the current top 4 teams were challenging to some extent, making this season's finals a very interesting arrangement. The winner will be anyone's best guess.

Will we be seeing anything special from Fray when they take on GGPR this weekend?

I don't like to kiss and tell.. Oooppss said too much

Who is the most annoying player you've come across in the solo lane and why?

Normally soloing against one player isn't too bad - it's the ganks that you can destroy you. Most teams seem to do this pretty well and if you're not on your game it can set you back the entire game, so no one in particular I guess. I think it's more determined by the hero match up than the player match up at this level.

Finally what are your predictions for who will take out 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th this season?

1st Fray (of course)
2nd Zenith Gaming (some really good strong players in the team, on the day if they are on their game they could easily take this out)
3rd GGPR (ban TDL lol)
4th Endzone (undefeated currently but I think they might struggle when push comes to shove)

GO GO Power Rangers: BoostN

First of all congratulations on reaching the finals of the CGi! Tell us how did you get into HoN and how did GGPR come to be the team that it is today?

GGPR has been around for a while formally known as TPG, the other 4 players (Furby, Takesmore, Emkay, Trueskiez) have been playing together since the start but GGPR had lost a member after round 1 of the CGi and they were looking for a replacement that's how i stepped in, after that we have kept the core five and were until recently undefeated as the new lineup.

Coming into the CGi, did you expect GGPR to do this well and make the top4?

Of course, we are all competent players and we play at the level required to be in the top 4 aus teams in hon. I never doubted our ability or players for that matter since we have proven to the community we can perform well when duty calls!

What was the hardest match (or the best team) that you played this season?

I would have to say EndZone just due to the fact game 2 was the only serious game we had (Yeah trueskiez trolling an ophelia pick g1 was really what we wanted gj!) but in game 2 we put up quite a fight but due to lack of practice we let EndZone take the game.

Will we be seeing anything special from GGPR when they take on Fray this weekend?

I cant give away any secrets but we have to pull a few tricks out of the bag i guess to take down this new STRONK lineup that has been put together, they haven't had any real challenges as of yet so this will probably be their first match to sync as a team and really show what they can do by no means should they take this game lightly cause were here for the money.

Who is the most annoying player you've come across in the solo lane and why?

I don't play the solo lane? I'm a support player, and a good one at that and im sure people know it, you have kids like Fives who try to troll you just to get reactions out of you in a simple game over the internet, but quite frankly we have seen what team 5s can produce and really they shouldn't try and comment on others play.

Finally what are your predictions for who will take out 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th this season?

1st. GGPR
2nd. ENDZONE
3rd. FRAY
4th. Zenith gaming?

First of all congratulations on reaching the finals of the CGi! Tell us how did you get into HoN and how did Zenith Gaming come to be the team that it is today?

Well i played dota for a few years, but got sick of the terrible graphics, so a few of my mates from sublime decided to download and try hon. hon was pretty much, better in every aspect,
As for Zenith gaming, It started with Noshz, xclusively and myself, pubbing it up, looking for scrims where we would use 2 ringers, Then, luckily for us, cujos clan disbanded and we picked up 2 very good players, doomdriver and bettch. Also we've been playing with sgzurr for quite a while now, and decided to give him a test run in the clan.

Coming into the CGi fairly late (due to disband of the former zenith gaming team?), did you expect your team to be in the finals of the CGi with such short notice? and how well do you think you will do against Endzone?

No, I didnt expect this to happen at all, everything happened so fast over 1 day, we picked up a sponsor and got moved up into cgi. As for the match verse fray, I think we have better individual skill than fray, but they have better teamwork as they've been playing together alot longer, Plus it will depend alot on what roster each team will use.
If we both run our strongest lineups, It could go either way.


What was the hardest match (or the best team) that you played this season?

Well we've only played fray, but endzone and ggpr would be on the same level, I cant really say there is a "best team"

Will we be seeing anything special from Zenith Gaming when they take on Endzone this weekend?

We're actually versing endzone this weekend, and yes we've discussed a few drafts and tactics that could pull off something big,

Who is the most annoying player you've come across in the solo lane and why?

Well there are many players who come off as annoying, like
slickz: flawless harassing and very hard to out last hit
wytaliba: tundra + micro
jabba + cujo: always calling for ganks
totoro_kun: fairly talented mid player
rogerdodger: my only threat

Finally what are your predictions for who will take out 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th this season?

1. endzone
2. fray
3. zenith
4. ggpr
