First writeup of the new season

Round 1: sp_delivery

Some great defense work here, meadow holding low super tight and competing with kronikal to see who can hold their defensive position better. Evidently, kronikal was a destructive whirlwind of bullets defending button room, impenetrable like a wall of solid titanium. Midas very steady on the rifle nade, showing our 4 ettv viewers why his name is MIDAS, as he didn't allow them to steal his GOLD. Pedro Alonso not off to an amazing start, but coming back with a smooth recovery, being Greek naturally he managed to pull out a deus ex machina. Amazingly, meadow's rage was kept to a minimum, and perhaps even MORE amazingly, kronikal did as he was told.

On the offensive, the star of the round was clearly Pedro Alonso who got off to a great start once again with his super-well timed panzer, eliminating 4 of the 5 OZ players in one fell swoop. Evidently we realised that OZ only had 4 players on at the time, so we took a quick pause to allow the OZ troopers to call for backup. Some decent defense work here by the OZ squad, who actually repelled a push and gave us cause to put our heads together and say "boys, boys, boys, omg xFx boys...boys." The OZ boys defended the button room valiantly however they were no match for the combined power of midas and kronikal who pushed through, penetrating their defenses like a man penetrating another man, to open the doors and secure the gold.

Round 2: adlernest

As brave as the OZ boys were in their map choice, the lotto choice did not roll in their favour, as they had failed to anticipate the stellar, mAus-like work of the mighty Squid. Almost immediately, he destroyed the OZ defense force without firing a single bullet, his sheer presence enough to petrify them and allow the mighty Meadow to run in all guns blazing. Pedro demonstrated his amazing skills as an engineer by planting dynamite, staying alive, all the while managing to show his prowess as a sub-machine gunner The over zealous boys tried hard to defend the documents, even lowering the butterfiles hitpoints considerably, but then came kronikal, shooting through the document room window in a flurry of naked headshots, with his wingman Midas lobbing rifle grenades everywhere like it was raining shrapnel. The transmitter was easily overtaken with no resistance, and a very quick time of 2 minutes was set.

OZ now on the offense, they tried but failed to even plant dyno, as squid once again single handedly pushed the entire OZ team back to their spawn, before calling in his fellow butterfiles to aid him in keeping them locked down. Some stellar medic work by the not-so zealous gamers, reviving their fallen comrades almost too quickly for us to gib them. Meadow stole the show close to the end-game, running in for a 5 man pistol whip, before slaying an entire fresh spawn with a mobile MG.

Nobody got stats but nobody needed to, as it was more than obvious who the man of the match was...

Squid, who managed to basically win adlernest for us, while eating a DONUT, deserved our MOTM award.
