I have been trying lots of differnt ones. Wanting to find on to clog the middle

4-2-2-2 Standard is a decent formation, use it with chelsea loads.

Tried that pretty solid in all honesty.

I use 4-3-1-2 with any team. get a good attacking mid in behind the strikers eg real madrid: kaka, with ronaldo and higuain up front

Yeah true falcon. I find it easier to have split strikers.
Bonus i use real

4-3-3 Works well with most teams especially with two quick wingers and a target man in the centre forward to hold the ball ... Very aggressive and attackive formation

i play either using real madrid or arsenal

standard formation: my fav is by far 4-2-3-1, works so well.
as for a custom one, for real madrid i had a formation that was 3-1-2-3-1 with 2 of the 3 being wingers and the others attacking centre mid. verry aggressive formation and worked fairly well because real madrid has great defenders.

also lol at arron's 7-1-2

4-4-1-1 is my fav formation. 4 defenders and midifielders to outnumber there attack and usually get them on counter attack or by playing possesion and croosing it in to ibrahimovic or through balling it to whoever is making a run
