So i just reformatted my pc today, and put my new mobo in, Asus X58 Sabertooth and installed everything that i needed, and all of a sudden it seems to be randomly crashing every now and then.... the 1st time the pc made a quick high pitch beep noise then wouldn't pick up the sound card, then bsod...

this time i was playing cod4 and i started CI'ing and then my xfire ingame comes up and says xfire has disconnected, then my cod dropped out into you have been disconnected from the server, but i couldn't do anything about it, the mouse and keyboard were just frozen and yea lol....

So, i was wondering if anyone knew what could be causin it, cos i kinda don't wanna have my pc crashing every hour.

Ok so i decided i would try and figure out if it was my kb or mouse doing it as they were both new, it;s a negative, just kept freezing and shit, so i think it has to be the mobo or the sound card, my bet is the mobo more than likely

Specs are, i7 920, 6gb corsair dominator GT ram, 5870, auzentech xfi Forte soundcard all on the Asus Sabertooth

ok so i updated my bios, and...... nothing, seemed to be working fine, then when i went to type quickly it the pc froze again.... so really i am clueless atm, might just do a complete reformat and make sure everything is plugged in properly and see how she goes lol FML

ok, so i decided i would pull my pc apart and put it all back together again, checked all my cabling, took out my cpu and checked the pins, reapplied thermal paste, took my ram out and put them in different slots and it now works fine...... so far lol
