Due to the recent announcement of the upcoming
4seasons Gaming Reloaded 2011 Quake Live LAN competition (due to be held July 15-17th), we have decided it would be a great idea to start building the hype already
This is the first ever Australian LAN competition to be "ID Software approved", for the online-only FPS
Quake Live, which is a remake of the highly popular Quake 3 Arena. This competition will be hosted on the main stage at the Reloaded LAN with the support from Tt eSPORTS and their specially custom built machines. The setup we will be running with, will be similar to what was used for
last years Reloaded. While the competitions format is officially still TBA, for now the prize money allocated for the event is a confirmed
$3500 cash, with at least $600 worth of product prizes thanks to Tt eSPORTS and Gametraders to be spread across the Amateur and Pro Duel categories.
The online competition which is currently in process, will now include the prize for Division 1's Champion, as a FREE FLIGHT TO ADELAIDE for the event in July. Seeing as the current Australian champion and number 1 seed for the tournament already lives in Adelaide, the highest-non-Adelaide finisher will be receiving this free flight. Meaning that instead of the typical single elimination format for
Division 1 ONLY the first round will be single elimination, and the final 8 will play in a double elimination format, which will hopefully determine a more accurate seeding for our finalists.
I would personally like to send out many thanks to the guys who have continuously kept on playing throughout the course of 4Seasons Gaming's reign, and I hope that this LAN competition will be the first of many to come 8-)
