Item restrictions sound awfully gay, not to mention awfully thought out. (the game restricts those items besides ring of sorcery anyway)

2 Totem of Kuldra and 2 Stormspirit maximum per team

Is this max 4cc items? Or a combined total of 2?

so you think ring of sorcery should be included? I got help on the ruleset and was told it the normal ruleset for aus HON but am open to discussion given the event is so far away

I interpret it as meaning 2 of each so a max of 4

Astrolabes give off a debuff which prevent you getting healed for another 25 seconds from any Astrolabe on your team with a 45 second cooldown, so trying to break it would be impossible.

Same with the 2 Puzzleboxes. Puzzlebox recipes come on a 10 minute cooldown, completing 2 of them takes 40 minutes.

It comes down to that these items have already been balanced to make item restriction rules unnecssary and redundancy.

Ring of Sorcery and Sheep/Stormspirit rules seem fine. ( I ment the game lets you spam up to 5 Rings of Sorceries between a team while it restricts the item usage of Astrolaber/Barrier Idol and Puzzleboxes already to a large degree)

From a competitive perspective the current item set of HoN really doesn't need to have any restrictions in place and BD rules for tournaments are fair game.

I understand that tournament organisers need to prevent abuse of such things but rest assured that Astrolabe and Puzzlebox abuse won't happen regardless if the those 2 rules are in place or not.

yeah item restrictions are an archaic anomaly back from 5.x dota days when getting multiple items was actually seen as overpowered. Nobody cares anymore but for some reason item restriction rules still pop up.

S2 balance their game with tournament play in mind, so if multiple hexes were a problem they'd do something about it. The only actual point of any real contention is Backdooring so you can keep that in as people still get mad about that
