Wanting to upgrade some parts of my PC. Namely graphics card and processor.

Pretty new to custom building so any advice would be appreciated. Only really looked at a new card myself and that was this - http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193_1177&products_id=16671

Currently have:
AMD Athlon II X4 640 processor
GeForce GTS 450

Looking to spend a total of around $600-$700 no more than that.

Thanks

Oh yea sorry gaming and also pretty good chance it will be used for heavy video editing in a uni course next year.

I've been running most games on borderline maximum with my current setup but some of the newer stuff I have to tone done a fair bit Such as Witcher 2 and Starcraft 2. (Witcher 2 is pretty much the reason I'm deciding to upgrade.)

Yea I kinda thought about going for a new Intel i5 but as you said I'd have to get a compatible motherboard. Which I would happily do as long as I could keep within or close to the price range

If your current RAM is DDR3 dual channel - get that.
