So i recently reinstalled coh to play with a mate and i keep getting that error everytime i try to connect to him i have managed to connect to some other games but its very rare
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Also i have changed internet providers since i last played this could the new modem be the cause of this?

Try port forwarding.

Make sure you have PORTS 6112 30360 and 9112 (UDP and TDP) forwarded in the router

hi i found though tons of searching a way to get around this. follow the steps below so far 3 of my mates did this and it opened there ports as well.

Reminder:If you are not on a static IP you will have to repeat this process when your IP changes. Simply re-add the service with your new IP.

Start
My Computer
Nerworks
Right click on "your network eg modem name"
Properties
Settings
Add a service

A form will pop up, fill it with this:

Name of service: COH (Can be anything)

6112 in both Internal and External port fields.

Select UDP.

IP adress: Find your IP. -->

Get your IP adress by doing this: Start - Run - cmd - ipconfig - find IPv4 should look like 192.168.x.x

Hope this works for you as well.
edit: you still need to port forward though you modem. just got to portforward.com

port forwarding will most likely work for you here.
ring your internet provider for real time support or the maker of your router.
