Hi guys.
I am aware of the restrictions imposed on the engine of Left 4 Dead, and I know that the very notion of a config for this game would be almost trivial.
Despite this, I'm persistent on seeing if there are ways to enhance fps, since there are no low-end cfgs available [to my knowledge]. Having default (highest) settings will give me the same rate of fps as low settings along with 640x480 or 800x600 resolution. It's playable, obviously, but the fact that the rate doesn't change from lowest to highest settings is perplexing.

tl;dr I'm basically asking whether any of you know of an existing config that helps with this situation, or if you know of one in production.

Turn VSYNC off perhaps that will give you an increase in FPS.

Oh I have dude. Been through all the settings. Spent most of my time tweaking on Call of Duty, in hindsight I should've spent more time actually playing..

haha. Other then that I have no suggestions. There are a few commands in the steam console that effect FPS.
I think fps_max is the main one.
Perhaps thats the reason why its the same regardless of setting? Other then that I don't think there would be much else I know off.
