About to pop down to PLE to pick up a new keyboard, anyone had any past experience with the sidewinder x4? Only one they apparently have in stock ready to pick up, It's cheap, reviews look good, however you guys are the genius's when it comes down it.

I currently use the x6 and love it, I'm upgrading to a blackwidow in the next few weeks though as I want a mechanical keyboard

hehe, B-ray and I have had this conversation before. His preference is the Blackwidow, which is bizarre.

Eden, the x4 is probably the best non-mechanical gaming keyboard available; it's very similar to the other gaming keyboards out there, but it's cheaper. I would however, recommend that you look into getting a Steelseries 6Gv2 or 7G, or if you are willing to spend the money, look at getting a Filco Majestouch (they're around $150-170).

Yeah was thinking of changing my mind due to blackwidow only having USB whereas the meka and 6/7G have ps/2. That being said though currently have 110 EB store credit and they only stock the blackwidow

Yeah, it's a shame they don't stock the others. Then again, if they did, they'd probably charge too much for them and I would go elsewhere anyway XD

Yeah, I can get the blackwidow for 110 from EB or 97 from Umart, the extra 13 doesn't bother me, al;ways tax time anyway lol

Not sure what all the trash talk on the blackwidow is for.
Keyboard has been great for me so far 3 months in. Only downside is that it's a fingerprint magnet. Other than that it's like sex for your fingers without the fishy after smell

I have the SS 7G only got it instead of the 6Gv2 for the wrist rest, in hind site I would go for the 6Gv2 so that to get the normal size backspace key and buy an aftermarket rest. The keyboard itself is great apart from that.
