The 5th KING OF IRON FIST TOURNAMENT ended with Heihachi Mishima missing and Jin Kazama as an eventual winner.
Jin, becoming the head of the Mishima Zaibatsu started to use the special Tekken force units for propaganda and manipulative acts all over the world. People became upset, and the Mishima Zaibatsu saw an opportunity to conquer the world, as riots and finally war started amongst nations. But all around the globe people still believe someone is able to stand in its way. The G-Corporation! As well as started an open war against the Mishima Zaibatsu the G-Corporation offered a reward on Jin Kazama's head. No long after and as anyone could have expected, the announced for the 6th "King of Iron Fist Tournament" was under way.
Many different ideals and goals gather while the tournament is unveiled. Those that want to make a name for themselves, those that seek money and those... that want revenge!
BBAAEEKK
Baek joined The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 along with his apprentice, Hwoarang. After he learned that his student had been critically injured by his rival--Jin Kazama--Baek withdrew from the Tournament and hurried to the hospital. Emergency measures were taken and Hwoarang's life was saved, but he was unconscious. Baek was wrought with guilt that he had failed to prepare Hwoarang for his encounter with Jin. Hwoarang woke up three days later, and when he learned about the events that had passed, he forced himself out of bed and proceeded to beg his mentor to train him and make him stronger. He implored his master with such humility that Baek, sensing the intensity of Hwoarang's will, dedicated himself fully to developing his pupil's abilities.
After they returned to Korea, Baek engaged Hwoarang in the most extreme training regimen he had ever designed. The Mishima Zaibatsu announced The King of Iron Fist Tournament 6 as Baek trained both himself and Hwoarang for the ensuing battle.

Panda, pet and bodyguard of Xiaoyu.
After the conclusion of The King of Iron Fist Tournament 4, Xiaoyu had been feeling down. Panda, worried about Xiaoyu, was searching for a way to cheer Xiaoyu up decided the best approach would be to find Jin Kazama. Panda tried various methods but was unable to find Jin.
One day, Xiaoyu burst into the room excited. "Panda, I've decided to enter The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 and I need your help once again"
Panda didn't quite understand Xiaoyu's reason for entering the Tournament but decided to help if it would make Xiaoyu happy.
Panda participated in The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 as Ling Xiaoyu's bodyguard. However, upon discovering that Heihachi Mishima was not dead, she left the Tournament with Xiaoyu.

Kuma barely lost to Paul in The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. Since the death of his master, Heihachi Mishima, Kuma was convinced that he was the only one who could save the Mishima Zaibatsu. With great resolve, he set out for the Mishima Zaibatsu headquarters, only to find Jin Kazama--the new leader of the Zaibatsu--waiting there for him. Jin unleashed a pummeling against Kuma, then dropped him from a helicopter into the plains of Hokkaido.
Despite the tremendous fall, Kuma survived and traversed the vast plains in search of the Mishima Zaibatsu headquarters. This time, he was determined to defeat Jin and take his place as the rightful successor at the Mishima Zaibatsu.
Mokujin is a sentient wooden training dummy made from a 2,000-year-old oak tree. Sensing a lurking evil, Mokujin has awakened once again to save the world.

In The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5, King faced Marduk in a grueling battle that ironically resulted in a friendship between the two after the fight. Upon returning from the ring, Marduk was ambushed by someone dressed as Armor King. King was furious and vowed to find the culprit, but was unsuccessful in his attempt.
With the world engulfed in war, King all but gave-up looking for Marduk's attacker when he received an invitation from Marduk to join him in The King of Iron Fist Tournament 6. If they both participated in the tournament, perhaps the Armor King imposter would appear once again. With that hope in his mind, King decided to take part in the contest.

His true identity remains a mystery...
Yoshimitsu was following Bryan Fury to take revenge for his fallen comrade when he noticed a sinister aura emanating from the spirit sword. The weapon, by its nature, was in continuous pursuit of blood, driving its owner insane. Yoshimitsu had been suppressing the sword's power by supplying it with the blood of the malicious and evil; however, it was becoming more difficult to maintain the sword's balance.
Left unchecked, there was a chance the sword may cause chaos and destruction in its quest for a new owner. To prevent this from occurring, Yoshimitsu attained the Fumaken, a sword with the ability to contain the power of the evil sword. At the same time, he joined The King of Iron Fist Tournament 6, where evil energy collected, hoping to return the balance of the spirit sword to its more stable state.
