It's sad that a feature that was standard years ago is now called a extra.. Looks good though.

Well whenever it is, it should be before BF3 which at least gives it a chance of being seen.

I hope CG plan to make a ladder for it

Nice, all we need now is a good population
It's sad but true, doesn't matter if the game is the best and perfect in everyway unless it has a decent size population. So fingers crossed for this! Keen to get back into some classic WW2 shooters! Miss the good ol MOHAA/COD1 & 2 days.

The mods are looking very nice as well.

First to Fight

Image

Quote:
First to Fight is a RO: Heros of Stalingrad mod set in the invasion of Poland in 1939. We intend to create a realistic portrayal of the battles fought on the East and West of Poland as it struggles to resist two of the biggest superpowers in the world. The focus of the mod is to create a fully functional Polish faction including infantry weapons, vehicles and maps. The mod will also focus on the German and Soviet factions, kitting them out with equipment accurate to 1939.

RISING STORM

Image

Quote from Someone:
Rising Storm will be a total conversion modification for the eagerly awaited WWII First-person Shooter, Heroes of Stalingrad: Red Orchestra; based on the Pacific campaign of 1941-45.

Rising Storm will cover the famous island-hopping campaigns in the Pacific from 1942 to 1945 as the US Army and Marine Corps fight it out with the Imperial Japanese army and Special Naval Landing Forces. Featuring some of the most brutal fighting in the Pacific theater, players will be able to experience beach assaults, jungle fighting, close quarters cave fighting and more across Corregidor, Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima and many other historic locations. The player will be able to take the part of either side – American or Japanese –playing through the Campaign Mode alone or with friends, or battle it out online in full player versus player multi-player.

Rising Storm will be created in a first-of-its-kind collaboration between a mod team and a professional game development studio. The Rising Storm team will be made up of the best developers from the Red Orchestra modding community and the mod community at large.

IRON EUROPE
Quote:
Iron Europe 1914-1916 (IE for short) is a modification for Tripwire's upcoming game, Red Orchestra Heroes of Stalingrad. Iron Europe will focus on World War I from its opening stages in 1914 and culminating in the first day of the Battle of the Somme in 1916. IE will feature British and Commonwealth forces pitted against the Germans, and will be a purely multiplayer experience. Staying true to Red Orchestra we will be making IE as historically accurate as possible.
