Your username must be 6 characters in length and no more than 10.

You're better off creating a username that starts with the name you will use the most ie "Bear" and then follow it with other characters like "- _ 1" etc, rather than the other way round (--bear).

This is because in game you can shorten your name to only display the first however characters you wish by spamming up the name with colour changes after the amount of characters you want ie:

ui_name "^7Bear^1^2^3^4^5^6^7". If your username is "Bear____" then this should successfully take out the "____" from your name in game, otherwise if you don't use this method you will not be able to change your name (so dont make your username your clan tag followed by your alias!).

also, this only works if you want your name to 1, 3 or 5 letters in length.

If you change it to only being 2 or 4 there will be a blue zero added to the end of your name.

Why does this happen? Well, it's a bug in the game.. the name shortening through changing colours is a bug in itself.
