hey buddy, I dont know whether its too late but I did have a similar sort of issue where I thought my graphics cards were screwing up.

Turned out to be Nvidia Update tool screwing up... (right after a win 7 update)

If your still having the problem I will walk ya through what I did to diagnose my problem but if all is fixed... disregard this.

JezR was right, But i changed freq 48-44, and i got a fps improve as well no crashes?? wtf???

Anyways, it's all good.
