Introduction
Welcome to the
First Round opening thread of the Modern Warfare 2 P2P Tournament. Throughout this Tournament, we will be seeing many ups and downs throughout the
Teams and also the Players.
Search And Destroy (SND) is a BIG part of the CyberGamer community, however, over the past few years, we've all seen some teams that have been here since the start, and been successful throughout all the seasons. We've seen teams that are here for fun, here for competition and last by not least, the money ($$$).
Prize Pool
The Top 3 Finalists will be getting prizes which consists of the following (Subject to change)
1st Place: $1400
2nd Place: $600
3rd Place: $100

We are hoping that majority of the matches will have a Highlight Video produced, and if we are lucky, matches could be Shoutcasted. To help out the shoutcasters and the Youtube Channel, please subscribe to the
CyberGamer PS3 Channel , they do a fantastic job creating these videos and subscribing will surely keep you up to date with the latest matches.
When teams are fighting for prize money, they will definitely put a whole lot more effort in. There's been a few upset results in the SND ladder + Leagues and we will definitely be in for a ride. There will certainly be upsets and surprises in this upcoming League!
There are 12 maps which will be played out throughout this competition, they all are;

Karachi
Favela
Terminal
Crash
Strike
Overgrown
With the first map being Quarry, it will be interesting to see which teams come up with the best strats. It is quite an open map and we look forward to the outcome.
Pool 1
Malice - Well this very structured team which was built on XBOX, they have come to PS3 to see how good they can get throughout this Comp. They have a great line up with some good players in it such as Nakeed, Mozt-Wanted etc. They all have had loads of experience so it will be interesting in what they can pull off.
Chozen Few - Also lead by a great guy Frenzy_NZ, this team was originally from MW2, they were a great solid team which were really hard to get past. They've got solid strats which they've been working on that im sure will dominate some teams. They have some fabulous players which all know what their doing.
BeyonD - BeyonD were competing in MW2, but when BOPS started, they stopped. With souR leading them back into the MW2 old days, i wonder what they've got hidden under their sleeves for us. They have had a few upsets in their team, with 2 of their members BANNED, so i'm wondering what they will do about it. These guys are a VERY strong team, as i've seen, which they all know each others play styles and should be a hard competition.
Southern Cross Elites - These boys are all a great bunch of blokes, lead by Navsta and Viirus, there always constantly wanting to scrim, who know's what they will pull of during the P2P Comp. These guys are quite under-estimated also, which could upset quite a few teams.
Equalize - These guys are quite a great bunch of blokes. They've been playing competitively for some time now, with some good players in this team, it should be quite some challenge.
K9 Nation - With their first time in the MW2 P2P, they may have a solid team which know's what their doing. With all of them having K9 before there name, it could get quite interesting..
envious - This team is very underestimated. If you think you will get an easy win, then think again. These guys have been around for a while now. They have recruited some solid members which may give everyone a challenge.
Pool 2
[sBd!] Silent But Deadly - Milan has lead this boys for years now. They all have been together since the early CoD4 days. They have so much experience, they won all the time in the MW2 seasons. They were a very hard team to beat, but there are some teams who may take this victory. These guys are all great bunch of guys, but when money is involved, they will dominate.
The Unit - Lead by a great guy Don_Sinatra, this is a very solid team in the XBOX side. They have fantastic players that have had LOADS of experience for years. I've seen quite a few of them play, and they know their stuff. This team will be very solid, but can they use the PS3 Controller as good as the XBOX controller?
Mindfreak.RAZER - Well this guys have some crazy players. They have to be one of the best teams in the CG PS3 Ladder. They've taken out CoD4 still without losing, they've taken out Black Ops, can they take out MW2? They will be up against some tough teams, but i think these guys will win the competition.
Effectz - These boys were also competing in the MW2 days. They have a great line up, all know what their doing, and been mates for years now. They have some experienced players in their, which all know what each other do, can they take day some of the greater teams?
A Bullfrogs Worst Nightmare - These guys could possibly take out this competition. With a superstar chrsha01 in the team, and also a crazy GFX designer Gebzie, this team will be solid throughout all their games. They keep their heads high, and encourage each other. Also with ScazoN and Shadowtosis having quite the experience, this team will be a great challenge for whoever they verse.
art of style - Jackson has lead these guys for years. He's a great captain that has recruited some solid members over the past years. These guys are very committed and know what there doing. They've been around for a while, with members coming and going. This team is very under-estimated, people thinking it's an easy win, well i can tell you, it won't be easy.
uniQue Gaming - Lead by a fantastic guy Ben (muthaphuka), funniest guy ever, has created a very underestimated team once again. He's got some solid lineup's installed ready to use for their competition. They got some good players in their, but can they all work together?

More information if need be will be posted throughout the rounds, otherwise please look through the MW2 Discussion threads for consistent updates and other information.
In regards to logos for your teams, if you would like them changed please private message a CoD admin in regards to it, as they will be able to fix it up with our graphics designers. Make sure they are saved as a .PSD or .PNG file and that is has no background. It must have a transparent background. Also please take note, we aren't changing your team logo mid-season.
Also just a heads up in regards to the matches - rounds for and against: Make sure you play ALL rounds in regards to the match, every round for and against counts!
