CyberGamer is presenting a PS3 Call Of Duty 4 Search and Destroy League!

This League will cover a total of 11 weeks of Pool Play and 16 Teams, with over $2,000 to give away!



The Admin team are proud and very excited to announce that we will be running a CyberGamer PS3: COD4 P2P League ! Call of Duty 4 has been one of the most loved and enjoyed games in the CoD series and also on PS3, so it's time to have some fun and go back to some of our gaming roots While also playing for some awesome prizes at the same time.

Below you will find most of the information you will need in regards to the CyberGamer PS3: COD4 P2P League with some small exceptions.

All questions and other relevant feedback towards the league is most appreciated and welcome.

Entry Information

To nominate your team for selection or participation in our upcoming PS3: COD4 5v5 P2P League, You must fill in a selected Form and show your interest in our Team registration thread Here

CoD Admin team Selections are based on the following criteria:

Team Performance and Game play
Performance or participation in selected Finals
Participation in CGo ladders applicable towards the league.
Participation in previous P2P's (if available)
Maturity
Reliability
Ability to Pay entry fee requirements

Private messaging a CoD Admin or creating support tickets won't help in regards to your team getting registered within this league, you must use this form and this form only.

Cash Prizes

As always CG has a some big cash prizes to give away and will be making the most of your entry fees. Every cent of the player contributions goes back into the prize pool, as well as CyberGamer's sponsors adding another chunk of money on top. Your money isnt being used to buy prizes you dont need, its all going back into the pockets of the top 3 teams.

Entry Fee

The CyberGamer PS3: COD4 5v5 P2P League Entry fee is: $20.00

This applies to both pools and ALL teams in the League.

P2P Payments Open: 21st August
Payment Lock: (8:30pm) 4th September

It is highly encouraged that the Entry Fee Payment is paid of as soon as possible to not hold up the commencing of the league.

Teams who do not have at minimum an amount of 6 players registered and paid within their team by the end of the payment period will be removed from the competition and replaced by a following team. Consequences will also be in place in regards to the team who has not got 6 legible members and bans will be handed out as seen fit. Members of the removed team will be refunded accordingly and the removed team will not be able to compete in at least 1 competition/league for the rest of the remaining year.

If a team has a minimum of 6 players paid and still has registered players who have not been paid by the end of the payment period, the players will be removed from the team and consequences may occur if also seen fit.

Refunds

Refunds in regards to this league will not be given in most situations. If you have played a selected match for your team then wish to no longer participate in the league and be refunded - you will NOT be refunded - you will most likely be removed and banned appropriately. Refunds will only be given up until the end of the payment period if need be, any requests after the payment period will be denied unless the situation is immediate. Exceptions can and will apply.

Format

Teams: Pay to play League which has 2 pools consisting of 8 teams in each pool
Team Sizes: Teams are now required to have a minimum of 6 members and a maximum of 10 members
Match length: A match consists of a single map which is consisting of 24 rounds. Teams swap spawns after 12 rounds have been played. Teams are expected to play out the full 24 rounds. If one team chooses to leave after they have won 13 rounds then all remaining rounds are forfeited to the team still in the game room.
Tie Breaker:. In the event of a tie breaker (equal amount of rounds after the two halves are played) a 4 round tie-breaker occurs. Start the tie-breaker with the following settings changed - Score limit: Unlimited. Round switch: Every 2 Rounds. After 4 rounds have been played end the match. If the score is still tied up at 2 round each then restart the tie-breaker. Continue playing tie-breakers in this fashion until a winner is determined (3-1) or (4-0).

Finals: Further final information will be given once it is closer to the time, however the format of the finals outline will be Double elimination.

Round Robin

Once again this PS3 League will be involved around the Round Robin example. This means that all teams will challenge each other before finals, creating 7 rounds of pool play which is consiting of one match per week. Teams who enter into finals will then play in a double elimination format.

A Selected CoD admin who is not competing in the league will manage and randomly choose using a random method to implement 2 pools of 8 teams. This selection is un-bias and has been implemented in past competitions. After the selection each round teams will vs each other in a random order and will end up facing everyone in their pool.

Challenges

During this league the CoD admin team will set up the match challenges each week. This involves selecting two teams to verse each other according to the schedule provided.

Challenges will be issued on Wednesday. This allows matches to be started from Wednesday and finish by Tuesday. All challenges and matches must be complete by the start of the next round.
Failure to organize a team with the opposing team will result in a CoD admin selecting an appropriate time towards the match.

At the current time and stage we are taking suggestions and changes towards the rule-set into consideration, as we want this rule-set to meet the expectations of most of our players.

Media Coverage

For this PS3 P2P League our media coverage will be covered by the Shout-casting and YouTube team!
They will be trying their very best to provide as much coverage as possible across these intense matches, however unfortunately they cannot cover everything but we expect to see some brilliant audio and game-play from Gamestah's feeds. As usual, Bio acid following by Milan the milkman and redrum will be delivering these casts.

Terms and Conditions

The following conditions must be met before applying to compete in the PS3: COD4 5v5 P2P League.
*When applying and filling in the form found here you accept the following rules:

• Your team will accept all Cybergamer forum, match, game and league rules.
  
• Your team will complete the entire League and not leave or non-compete.
  
• Your team will play every match and every round of every match which is being played.
  
• Your team name and team logo will not change throughout the league.
  
• Your team understands that for a player to be eligible to receive cash or prizes, they must compete in at least 4 matches, whether they be round-robin or finals matches. Prize-money can be given to players who do less than 4 matches, but only under the permission of the captain
  
• Your team understands that the CoD Admin team reserves the right to make decisions at their discretion.

Other Relevant Information

In regards to extra information, there will be plenty of discussing and further information to come in the bearing weeks. We'll be sure to keep you guys updated with any changes or additions towards the league and will also be updating you guys with fixtures/round by round/team changes.

You may or may have not noticed that in our round images/banners we are using logos from the selected league teams, so if your team doesn't have a well established logo, Get to it and start being creative! The logo size dimensions which is most suitable and appropriate for the image + designers is:

If your logo fits the size dimensions and you think its ready, please private message your logo with URL to: Blain. Make sure it is also saved as a .PSD or .PNG file and that it has no background. It also MUST have a transparent background in order for it to work with our images.
These images aren't and won't be changing through mid-league as well.

I am predicting 2-3 Xbox teams come over for this. So I think 16 teams is an achievable goal, seeing as it is a very good game too.
