lol @ this thread, the funniest ones are always when legal action is inferred
I'm not threatening legal action. I'm merely asking Cpt. Insano to exercise a little common decency. My reference to the law was simply to highlight what society deems acceptable...

It took you 4 days to discover vekta was inelligible, yet when you posted the score, you should have seen he was inelligible on the match page (and possibly even when you issued the challenge to GTX if he had joined their team at that time).

Monsoon, im pretty sure rhyme is one of their A-Team, hes played in both the games we've played against GTX.

Quote from Monsoon:
I know a recent re-work of the rules has gone by, but it would be nice if the rules here represented something, like justice or fairground competitive gaming

Well if that was the case, im pretty sure I'd win as I'm pro at fairground gaming. No one squirts into a clown's mouth as good as me.

rofl its L4D and cgo...get over it. L4D2 maybe people will care if its made to be competitive. Otherwise stop whinging tbh. Also about Vekta being ineligible to play. When you submit the score, you would have been able to see if he was ineligible or not so bl and get over it.

I'm not contesting the result.
And Rhyme is our reserve, it just happened that on the two times we've beaten you he was playing...

Let TBC go ahead and take advantage of their situation. We'll play with reserves if need be.
It's amazing that kids have such ego's on a particularly dud ladder.

Please keep in mind, this thread is not GTX vs TBC, it's about rule enforcement and the use of common sense.

Exactly.

I don't really mind. Worst case scenario, we play 3v4 or with reserves and lose, then just challenge them next week and thank them for holding our spot :p

p.s I do not recall a conversation about Vekta but I may be mistaken, if we did in fact talk about it I apologise for bringing it up.

p.p.s Sydney Roosters > Melbourne Storm you know it's coming!

Just because you think it isn't made to be competitive, doesn't mean this ladder has to be taken less seriously. This obviously is a big fuss-topic but the underlying point is that the rules are currently punishing good willed people and that just ain't cricket in the eyes of some.

Rules for L4D2 will likely to be the same copy-paste rule as L4D. I mean if you can go ahead and use COD4 rules for L4D... L4D to L4D2 looks simpler?

Will the current L4D admins move onto administrating the L4D2 ladder? Whatever seems practical, right? If you don't buy L4D2, it would be difficult to admin game-specific things. Anyway, a shake-up couldn't hurt.

@generiK: No problems then, I don't think I mentioned "Vekta", just that we had a new player so it probs didn't stick.

Yeah probably didn't stick. Most of the time I'm doing uni work while talking to people...

As for the L4D2 is a direct port of L4D with further character development and new game concepts and characters. It will not have changed that much nor geared towards competitiveness.
However, I'd argue that most multiplayer games are made to be competitive.

Either way, I laughed at both of my guys who got banned, we all had a good laugh about it in fact. I realise that they have to enforce the rules, but sometimes you need to actually have a look at what occurred rather than just playing down to the letter of the law.

How many times I have to say it? If you guys would stop being fags we could probably organise another time. I said it right from when Chop started talking to me and all thats happened is I wanted to know what was happening with your rematch because I was getting told all this crap about when we will be able to actually play you because it might have to be before our game.

And it is laughable that you are telling us we have egos when you guys are the ones that are making sure its known you will be playing with a 'reserve' side. Even to the point where you didn't want to turn up to the match so the loss didn't show up on your record as a real loss. We don't really have an 'A Team' we've played matches with all sorts of combinations of players.

How are we taking advantage? We challenged you not knowing all this drama was going to follow. We were going to challenge whoever was available first out of cbc and GTX, cbc won and thus were protected so we challenged you guys.

If we knew this shit storm was coming, we would ahve waited till cbc was no longer protected and challenged them instead.

ps. My ego is too big for this forum

pps. So big it hurts

Seems to me this whole thread is pointless whinging from people who did something stupid and feel that they are a victim of injustice.

I'm still not entirely sure why there is so much tears flowing.

Personally I the highlight so far has been: "Let TBC go ahead and take advantage of their situation. We'll play with reserves if need be.
It's amazing that kids have such ego's on a particularly dud ladder."
Some what ironic?

Exactly. I seriously do not see where we have "failed to enforce rules". As stated, when you had either issued the challenge to CBC, or had entered the score, you would have seen "ineligible" in big red letters next to Vekta's name. Monsoon had contacted you about this, and a GTX captain said it was fine to play him.

During the match where Chop played for the other team, and Ninja spec'd, a member from the opposing team informed me that there was a spectator. I quickly alt tabbed from the shoutcast I was doing, and saw Ninja in the game. I later checked the log of ID's to confirm, and also saw that Chop had played in that match. The opposing team only play the ladder for fun, not for competition., and thus did not care about the results being over turned. It is an issue because you are playing for a team that you are not a member of, which is not allowed.

I do not think it can be explained any more. If you do have further questions, feel free to PM me. If you don't like or appreciate the way I have handled things, feel free to PM either Phalanx, Arsey or Predict about it.
