I got on xbox today,and a friend told me that the call of duty 4 servers are being closed after MW3 boots up? I hope it isn't because COD4 is the only good game and ive noticed that all the hacks that are going on in cod4 and waw spamming in the corner and its starting become very annoying will they just release the update to fix it and leave the servers up or are they going to switch them off after mw3 and do no more updates.

Want to know if this is true and if you have legitimate sources saying so please post below or vote in poll

They will never shut down their previous cod servers.

Call of Duty 4 is still a top selling game and Infinity Ward is one of the greediest company's I have ever come across. Call of Duty 4's price hasn't drop greatly in the past 3 years it still sells for a good 80NZD brand new.

As long as Infinity Ward is getting money from their games they will never shut them down or stop production. Also COD4 is one of the most popular games on PC and one of the best Youtube worthy games. This leads to advertisement which leads to more money.

So in a short and simple way, NO they will shut them down anytime soon.
