One thing I want to ask is, how much of a better colour reproductions do IPS monitors give, especially compared to the Alienware?

Like, is it amazingly awesome or is it really only noticeable if you're doing some kind of photoshop work?

And to the guys with 120Hz monitors, is it worth the extra $100 over the IPS monitor, just to have 120Hz?

It is immediately noticeable, especially on 12bit IPS panels. Most IPS can geat near 95%+ of sRGB. TN struggle majorly with color reproduction.

Ive calibrated my alienware monitor..the argument is fairly subjective anyway..

the benQ is easier on my eyes for some reason..

and unless its a S-IPS/H-IPS panel its going to be a compromise anyway..

"The monitor was developed with the help of Heaton and Spawn, two professional Counter Strike Source players"

i lol'd.

Anyone who thinks these two guys had any involvement, other than signing their life away on some contract, must be an idiot.

Now im not suggesting the OP is an idiot (as this is likely ripped straight from some other article) but the statement must be questioned.

You don't think they were involved in a q&a session of what they'd want to see in a monitor and then testing samples.

Picked one of these up after seeing and playing with them at CGBC with iM. Great monitor, 120Hz makes such a difference.
