CyberGamer is very excited to bring you it's THRID EVER LEAGUE OF LEGENDS 5v5- ONE DAY COMP. This competition will be in a double elimination or single elimination depending on the amount of interest and will be a pay to play event (p2p). Teams that enter will be seeded and the bracket will be released Saturday 10th of September.

The format will be chosen by these requirements:
Single elimination:8 teams with each game being best of 3 and finals being best of 3 (bo3)
Double Elimination: 12+ teams with each game being best of one then best of 3 finals (bo3)
Winner of the upper bracket will have to win one(1) game in the finals to secure victory.


What is a "One Day Comp"?

One day competitions are designed for communities to play throughout an entire tournament in one day (as the title suggests), or even as short as an afternoon. With a 5v5 League of Legends Tournament, 1 hour game slots seem to fill out from an afternoon into the night. Cybergamer has previously run One Day Competitions in other games such as the Call Of Duty series and Counter Strike: Source, and it is now League of Legends turn.

Registrations are now open. To register your team please visit Here. Registrations close on Tuesday the 6th of September 2011 @ 11.00pm AEDT, and matches start on Sunday 11th of September 2011.

Registrations teams and Rosters will be lock on Friday 9th of September 2011. this means all Teams / Player who enter in this One Day Comp must pay the Entry fee by this Date/Time. Teams may not use unregistered players, any Teams found to do so will forfeit.

1st - 60% of Pool
2nd - 25% of Pool

All Player on the day of the comp must be log in to a PvP.net Chatroom call "CGODC"

Things to know

* CyberGamer runs off AEDT GMT+10.
* Round 1 will have a starting time from 12pm to 1pm.
* Dinner Break will go for about an hr at around 7-8pm, giving us a chance to catch a breather before the FINALS.
* Each member of your team must be a registered CG member.
* Rosters will be LOCKED at 11:00PM on Friday 9th of September.
* If your team is not ready for the start of round 1, you will be eliminated from the competition.

But in the post you have - Entry Fee: $25 Each Team (max of 7 player)

I'm a little confused about the rules for bans and champion selections.
I was assuming it's just a custom draft game and chance determines who gets first priority picks; then i saw this:

"Players must take a screenshot of the Banned and Selected Champions. This can be done at the end of the selection process by typing in Lobby chatbox: Bans = 4 Champion names. Selected = 6 Champion names. (Teams must both agree to the listed names.)"

As i understand what's written, the picks are to be decided in the custom game lobby rather than in the LoL champion selection screen... So if a player on each team wants the same character, what determines which one of them is allowed to choose it?
Obviously if we leave it to the players to hash this out between themselves, things could devolve into lengthy arguments and refusal to cooperate.

If I'm reading this wrong and it's just going to be a normal draft mode setup, and the teams simply need to take a screenshot in the 20 second countdown before the game starts, someone please correct me!

Edit: Also, since it will be draft mode, i'm assuming all players involved have to be level 30..?

Since when do you have to be 30 to do draft mode? And I'm assuming it comes down to the luck of the draw.
