Wait a month or two for bulldozer but if you really can not which would be a stupid decision I would go with this

HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB - $69
Good, Cheap HDD
CASE: BitFenix Shinobi Case with Window- $75
Good Case up to 7fans, change the case if you don't like it
CPU: i5 2500k $219
Don't buy the i7 version waste of money, "K" version is easy to overclock, google how to OC it and unlock its awesomeness
CPU COOLER: CoolerMaster Hyper 212+ CPU Cooler -$33
Cheap aftermarket cooler, will do the job
SSD: OCZ Vertex 2 60GB SSD - $109
Place your OS, Games and Editing programs on here, go 120GB if you think you will need more room
MOBO: ASUS P8P67 PRO Motherboard B3 - $195
Good mobo, Supports SLI/CF
PSU: Silverstone Strider Plus 850W - $169
Reliable brand, great reviews on it, room to CF
GPU: VTX3D Radeon HD6950 1GB x2(CF)- $458
or if you don't wana CF then go Gigabyte GeForce GTX 570 1280MB Overclocked- $ 369
CROSSFIRE BRIDGE- $12
OS: Windows 7 64bit - $105
OPTICAL DRIVE: Samsung SH-222AB SATA DVDRW Drive - $22
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X F3-10666CL7D-8GBXH (2x4GB) DDR3 - $79

Total: $1533

Would be much better of going with the 6950 CF unless your going to use PhysX
Look at these benchmarks,

Only because you went with the VTX3D model.

If you're playing above a 1080 resolution or have a multiple monitor setup I could understand going with cf/sli.
