I don't get why no admins have considered a TF2 ladder or haven't let us know they've considered doing it.

Why is now the right time?

Team Fortress is now F2P (Free-To-Play), meaning you can play the FULL game for FREE.
The only disadvantages you have are some trading things...

The community grows daily, it is bigger then the Australian Call of Duty 4 community yet they opened a HQ ladder just recently because of the 'high demand, and the success of auscod lately'.

The game runs on the same engine as CS:S, it doesn't neccesarily need an anti-cheat.
It's easy to use, with a simple in-game console command to change it to Tournament Mode.

If there was a time, now would be the time to do it.

Team Fortress 2 is amazing game, it's fun, you don't have to rage, it's strategic, it's intense.

Ozfortress is the answer, but is it really? Only one decent league, once a year. The open league is no where near as proffesional, as Cybergamers ladders and what they could produce for the TF2 scene. It's all control point maps, fun & like Ive said... Growing FAST.

I don't get why the admins haven't considered it, and if they have give me a valid reason besides 'Ozfortress' 'We can't find admins' 'It's to hard to set up the ladder' (It's the exact same as source practically)

Cheers, Ollie.

Arena deffinately wouldn't work, though King of the Hill could be fun (not successfully competitive).
Capturing control points seems to be the way to go, and there's so many people wanting the ladder in this community.

We did one like 2 years ago organised a sponsor to fund ongoing leagues and ran a test league. Community was hostile to say the least so diverted the money elsewhere and closed it. Otherwise TF2 would probably be on the pro league menu now playing for $2-3000 a season

I see where your coming from, though it kinda feels that you don't get it's free to play now, anyone can download it and play it, for fun even.

It's deffinately unfortunate that it won't likely go down... :/

Just trust me when I say it wouldn't. The structure of the maps, team options etc.
It would work to the point where people want it to be competitively serious, thats when payload & control points are the better option.

only because ozfortress is the only one that supports the game competitively, so LANs host it for fun.

I agree with Montgomery. A 3v3 arena ladder would be perfect for CG considering most people would just play it for fun really rather than competition, just to get away from pubbing it constantly.

Yes capture points are more competitive but if you want real competitive TF2 go to ozfortress as stated earlier.

I think 3v3 arena is the way to go. Just a simple CGo ladder, nothing complicated like prize money etc.

As I stated, besides ozfortress. %80 of CGs possible tf2 players wouldn't know if it. Besides that noone is taken serious but the decent teams on that ladder.

Yeah it kinda feels like because the admins have no interest in it they won't, or something else. There's no reason to not re-open one.
