Hey gents, i plan on making a computer rig that allows me to competitvely play theupcoming games with ease and on maximum settings allowing for the ultimate gaming experience. My price range is around 2.5 grand but anything that is a necessity that you recommend will be added if you believe its worth it.

Check out my design so far and please add some comments on your thoughts on where i can cut down or upgrade.

thats a great build, if your spending this amount of money i would recommend going with the obsidion 800D for your case, and **** that imperator off, either go with the Logitech G9x or the Steelseries Xai

Well that'd run it but it's really expensive for what you're looking to do.

Definitely don't get a ASRock mobo, get an ASUS Maximus or z68 deluxe.
Don't get Kingston RAM, get Corsair or G.Skill.
Don't get an Imperator, they're possibly the worst mouse on the market. Get a Razer Deathadder or a Steelseries Xai.
Get a better case, either a Corsair Graphite 600T or go all out and get an 800D. It's worth it.
The SilverArrow is an absolute dick to put together, but it's still a great cooler.
Generally it's good to not go straight up and buy a build in SLI as that limits the future potential for upgrades. I'd recommend buying one GTX580, because that should be sufficient. If you really wanna go all out though, get a 590.
Those SSDs are pretty crappy, they have similar read/write times to the Samsung Spinpoint HDD, I'd recommend Agility 3s or Corsair Forces.
I'd get a PSU with a higher rating than silver on a build this expensive, the last thing you need is an inefficient PSU to screw it all up.

Edited once, 22/8/11 - 2:41pm.

Wouldnt recommend a 590 over 2 580s due to microstutter and them CATCHING FIRE.

Why isn't Anomaly's rep 100%?

Totally agree with ******* that mouse off and the SSd's. PSU is good and thankfully you haven't chosen a generic gaming headset. Definitely get a better mobo krats

why would you put such a specific, very particular set of headphones that require amplification into his build? makes no sense.

and yeah, that 590 problem was mainly an issue with the drivers, but a couple have gone boom with just standard overclocking. Dual GPU cards are generally not worth the issues, unless you have a boatload of cash.
