CYBERGAMER MW2 SEASON 4!
Well here we are. Another MW2 season has arrived. 2 months ago, who would of ever thought we would make it to another season. You should all pat yourselves on the back for showing some dedication to this game. As we always say, it may lack some key fundamentals to being a highly competitive game but you guys just seem to keep it afloat! So in return, here is some really whacky and fun new additions/changes to the ladder.
THE LADDER GOES TURBO!!
So what does this mean? Well essentially it means you don't have to wait 6 nights for a challenge. You can now challenge a team 15 minutes in advance and get it underway! This should mean no waiting all week and allowing you to 'CoD' asap! Here is a little bit of a better understanding:
- You are now
never protected or vunerable. The moment a match is completed you are eligible to challenge or be challenged.
- Matches can be setup much quicker. Instead of there being a 12 hour turnaround at minimum, you can now offer a time 15 minutes in advance.
POINTS SYSTEM!
So now we have all these new systems for challenging teams you may be asking yourself how it's going to work? Well thanks to a new system Asterix and boys have introduced, we can make this turbo mode be really beneficial to the teams willing to play more often. If you can't play, then no loss. This system is put in place to reward those who want to play the game. If you are unable to play a particular game you do not receive a forfeit or anything of that nature. Again here is a more in depth description of how it works:
- When you join the ladder you start on 50 points, you cannot drop below 50 points.
- You can challenge any team that is within 15 points of you regardless of rank.
- When you win or lose a match you will gain or lose a certain number of points, which is calculated by taking into account their position and points compared to you and the total amount of points on the ladder.
- The amount you win/lose is always shown on the matchdetails page.
- All points ladders allow you to decline any match without forfeiting or losing points (this may change in the future so that you lose 1 point etc). This stops teams challenging inactive teams to gain points.
So as you can see you won't be losing anything by not accepting those matches. This should provide teams with a bit more opportunity to move around the ladder based on how much time they give back to game as well as their general skill base. After all, this is a casual ladder so it should be ran like one. Challenge as much as you like (read on for more about this, lol) and accept as little as you like. The better teams will still prevail by winning those clutch games and gaining good points for doing so.
4 CHALLENGES AT ONCE?!?!
So just because we have gone crazy and added in all these new features we thought we would just keep going. So now you challenge THREE teams at once and be challenged by ONE other team. This equates to four challenges at once! Again, up to you if you want to accept. There is no loss apart from losing the opportunity of getting the points on the board.
So there we have it hey. The ladder is now live and ready to go. Hopefully with all these changes we might see more activity amongst this ladder. Hell, if this isn't enough to spice it up nothing will be!
