Ok I'm going to explain all this once and once only. So maybe bookmark this thread so when someone says it's confusing you can link them.
So first off, why did we make such a drastic move? Well as it stands, last season JUST scraped in. TBH looking back on it, we probably should of closed it off mid way through the season as there was about 5 active teams at one point.
So as the story goes games slowly die out, especially CoD. So we weren't going to run another ladder how it is. Teams would play for a couple of weeks then it would die. The only way we see it working is to try something different. I spoke to Asterix and he showed me this great format. It is already in effect on other ladders and is going really well.
Secondly, for all of you that don't understand how it works I'll give you an outline. This won't be the nitty gritty of how it works (that can be found in the other thread or ladder page).
So basically it's a points system now. 1st place on the ladder is still 1st place. It's how you go about it that seems to have some people stumped. Essentially it is still the same, you win lots, you move up. You lose or don't play, you go down. Now the scoring system is based off a calculation that even I don't know how it works. Basically it's how you would expect it to work. The higher the team is, the more points you get for winning. The lower the team is (you can challenge teams below your rank) the lower the points are. Also it's based on how many points there are all together. So the more points on the ladder, the less you win. This keeps the challenges vs. the points being won on par.
So now to the next point of concern. The whole '4 challenges a night'. This is simple. There only has to be as many as you like. If you are accepting of sending 4 a night then you have no argument and shouldn't be complaining about so many matches. If you are getting heaps of challenges sent through, then only accept which ones you want. If you only want one, then only choose one. Declining a match does NOTHING to your standing on the ladder points wise. So if your captain is accepting challenges all over the place and you can't play then that's your fault.
Also another thing this does is involve lower ranked teams into the mix a bit more. You can only challenge someone within 15 points of you (E.G you're on 50, you can only challenge someone on 35-75). So what this will also do is make you think a bit smarter. Are you going to challenge say 1st place for those big points. Or are you going to challenge 3 lower ranked sides for roughly the same points. Both could work, but as expected, the higher placed team would offer more points. As I just demonstrated this will give the lower ranked teams so more challenges and more opportunity to play higher ranked teams. This can only be a good thing for a game in the position it is in.
So that's it. If you don't get it from there PM me. But for god sakes PLEASE make sure I haven't already stated. I will get really angry if I have to repeat myself. But as I said, worthy question=PM me.

Tired fingers
