Hi all.

So i've had a Gigabyte HD 2gb 6950 for a while now, and i've decided to buy another one, but there was only the 1gb model in, because MSY Discontinued it, i'm guessing that because you can flash it to a 6970 and that 6970 were the same price of 6950's they'd just stop making them or something,

but onwards,

I installed the 1gb on my ASUS P8P67 Deluxe, along with the 2gb running the top PCI 16x, and the 1gb one running the PCI below it, I installed the Crossfire Bridge and I connected the the two 6slot power adapters.

Turn on the computer and it says I currently have 3gbs total dedicated graphic memory and Catalyst Control Center says it's running CrossfireX.

I'm guessing everything is perfect, but jumping into games, nothings really improved, i've spent 250 on a extra graphic card and it doesn't seem like i'm getting any fps improvement at all, some things seem maybe a little smoother, but yeah.

Is this how it's ment to be, if so i'm going to try return my new graphics card and sit with the 2gb on it's own for a while.

:/

Most game are SLI supported now days.

Run Metro 2033 @ high settings with 1 card, then 2 cards... you will know the difference.

PC Platform Mod
I wouldn't depend on COD to see the extra performance of computers, it hits a certain point before the application gets capped.

Download 3DMark11 and see if there's an increase in a score w/ CrossfireX enabled & disabled. http://www.3dmark.com/3dmark11/download/

Oh, cheers guys.

I didn't realized it was a compatibility issue.

I'll chuck 1gb back in, download Metro and see how it runs.
