CG PM: I want to eliminate cheaters in at least on server in enemy territory
I play enemy teritory a great deal. all servers are infested with hacks. I have tried to get clans and admins to take a more proactive role in getting rid of the garbage. Basically I have met with apathy and indifference. The admins are already overloaded, it is unfair to lay blame at thier feet. Actually if any blame is to be placed, it should be placed with the low life hacks. I am looking for information of any kind to help id these peices of crap and get them out of the game. I believe what is needed is a team, familiar with all aspects of damage, glitches, cheats and so on. to catch a fox you need a steed, and a hunter. A software program such as punkbuster is useless. Please advise. this can be done, we need a server, a group of individuals who are serious about getting rid of these slimeball cheaters. It would take, it would move slow at first as we would need to learn much. But in time we would become very good at it, very effective.

We use tzac anti-cheat for all our ladder matches. This anti-cheat was originally developed specifically for Enemy Territory.

Cheaters are prevalent in all games and as you mentioned most admins etc do not have time to track down every single one and "ban them". We like to concentrate on keeping our competition as clean as possible by using the best supported anti-cheat software available and at the moment that is tzac (formally known as SLAC).

Keeping cheaters out of public servers is down to the players and the games for enabling people on the server the ability to kick other players that are blatantly cheating.

If your aim is to keep cheaters out of public servers than you will need to find another forum to try to achieve that. This forum is aimed at competitive Enemy Territory players and so I doubt you will get the response you are after.
