TBC came from 1000 behind at end of map 4 to win by finishing the finale when gtx didnt. (and it felt gooooooooood)


If valve didnt make such a buggy game maybe things would have gone differently.

Very interesting match, if only to see cunning use of in game mechanics (by both teams, no scrubs here), various glitches and a whole lot of QQ

This puts the score between these two clans at 2 - 1 in favour of GTX. Nothing like a bit of a private feud to keep the heat on the CGo.

I have a racial buff that adds a +/- 25% modifier to any team members roll, as well as I put a tonne of points into bardic lore and blind optimism, which helps boost team moral. Mind you I did have some fail rolls last game, I took an optimism check and rolled a 1, critically failed and raged. But that's ok because the DM said that by doing so i had gained a unique trait called bi-polar which basically allows my character, GTX NiNJA, to negate any negative attitudes with a D20 stam check.

nice shout cast btw guys, there were some good moments. Props to the Gamestah crew, TBC and of course GTX.

I'll repeat my match write-up here:

"Let's face it, there was a fair bit of luck involved in your win (heck, anyone who doesn't believe me, check out the Shoutcast). Primary thing that got us on the finale was the disappearing tank trolleys, although yours seemed to be remain in existence even after your tanks died...

"Anyway, enjoy your win - because it was one. I'll end by saying that I could probably beat a professional poker player once or twice, but could I do it 5 or more times out of 10 consistently? Games with a mixture of skill and luck, such as L4D, will inevitably come up with misleading results such as these.

LOL yeah watched the cast of this, was wacky. Looking forward to playing 'The Brunchies"on either Sunday or Monday TBH, it kinda looked like a close-ish game aside from the l4dness. So I'll say gg to TBC. I also noticed Mr_Fayce's classic "GG Valve" quote pop up haha. You two will have to play each other on BH to settle the score

comment though dude. They DID have the upper hand on you guys slightly on chapt 3 and 4, wouldn't say it was completely glitch related that you lost. And as UnrealSteve said "If valve didnt make such a buggy game maybe things would have gone differently." (although a cheeky wink) they do acknowledge the bugs (also aside from Insano's "we would have won by more comment also )

This is my 1st post here in a while and i've usually dont join in these topics. I've not seen the Whole game, but i can't help but notice there's no mention of TBC's tank spawn on 1st map? It's the randomness nature of the game that makes it fun imo. If u want to see who's better. Play a Quake3 or UT1 1vs1 duel.
