Hey i'm going to be going from state to state 2weeks on 1week off and looking at replacing my computer with a laptop but not sure what to go for, i want to play the latest games coming out (COD, BF3) and watch movies and shit.
i was thinking of the asus g74sx or Alienware M18x..
if anyone could help me get on the right track that would be awesome...

I will be doing a review pretty soon on the Alienware m17xr3 but when chosing a laptop for gaming what it comes down to is budget.

Razer is making a gaming laptop, I'd say have a look at that, but like Syrim said, it comes down to your budget.

Razer is going to be charging the same if not more for just what sounds like a gaming console. Alienware comes with a lot of other stuff which makes it more for all use with gaming graphic capabilities.

Sorry to say but for all the neccessary bits to perform on the latest games will require a rather heavy and chunky laptop. Saying that the alienware laptops are brick heavy but have reasonable performance. You could nearly have 2 pc's in each of the locations for cheaper
