Not really, if the person has no desire to upgrade from a 580 - 2x580's then SLi 560ti's makes sense as they are cheaper and perform better.

2x 6950 2gb unlocked is probably is a better setup than a 580 based setup. (if they unlock successfully)
I went with 560's purely because I already had a 750w PSU, I didn't want to have to upgrade it again when I only just purchased this one two months ago. I'm happy staying with 560's and they will probably last me for a good 2-3 years anyway rofl.

Yer im still rocking 460's no need to change them, well i need to when i get one of the new sexy 120hz samsung 27"
