My bro getting a new PC, first time I have had a crack at picking parts and putting a PC together.

Below is what I had in mind with the budget to remain around the $1,800 (not including shipping) mark. Just wanted to confirm that what I have is compatible and that everything will fit in case nicely.

Small peformance boost between 6950 to the 6970 man, might aswell attempt at getting a 6950 and flashing it which isn't difficult after doing some research. Change the vertex 2 < OCZ Agility 3 60gb and you might aswell go for a P8P67 Pro board.

Otherwise everything else is self prefferance. By the way go for a cheap 3rd party cooler, given you don't seem to care about it and will use the stock one, you might aswell just chuck the $30 in for a Hyper 212! It'll be worth it.

Vertex 3 ssd rather than 2 (check the corsair series, I'd suggest those)
You'll also need a CPU cooler
What about a keyboard?

Sidewinder x4 is what I'm using, pretty decent for the $40 it costs.

Oh and FYI unless you know what your doing, don't attempt at building it yourself.

GTX 570, no questions.
ASUS P8P67 PRO motherboard, no questions.
Corsair 8GB RAM Ending with C8 (you have C9), no questions.
Get a Vertex 3 SSD, or Corsair force 3.
Get Corsair 600T or 650D case.
Get an Antec Kuhler 620 or 920 for CPU cooler.
Get a BenQ monitor for like $100 less with same specs.

NEVER get green WD Hard drives. They aren't as fast as normal hard drives, their used for storage for things such as Movies etc. Go for a Samsung Spinpoint 1TB if your not interested in a SSD. And don't buy Coolermaster PSU's. Get yourself a Silverstone Strider PSU 750W.

Got a 570 + the motherboard ollie suggested, p8p67 pro. Purchased two weeks ago. It's an awesome board, I'd buy it again.
