Just brought me some new Hardware. Will be turning my old pc into a file server/media center for the loungeroom tv

Corsair vengeance 8gig 1600mhz blue
corsair Force 3 60Gig
WD 150gig Velociraptor 10000rpm
*enough storage for games and abit of music*
Asus GTX560TI DCU2 TOP (will sli these soon, Mainly brought these for the Huge OC potential)
Aywan RADI v10 push/pull fansetup
Silverstone RV03
Creative Titanium X-Fi Fatailty series (owned)
Corsair Tx-850 (already owned, modular is not a problem because of the design of the case)
All the cables will be sleeved blue and black and painting certain parts of the case. Also swapping out most of the fans for the Blue led Antec fans out of my ANTEC 1200


I also brought a silverstone strider 600w to replace the psu i am taking out of my own pc.

The pc i have atm is currently a shared pc between myself and parents.
I had the bright idea to connect it directly to the tv in the lounge so we could watch the movies and tv shows that i download.
Unfortunately this made us fight for use of the computer.
I figure if i have the current pc just downloading and running the movies/shows i can have my pc in my room for gaming.

Will also be handy when i have lans with mates and they want to leech movies ect.
if iv got it i guess why not use it

so not really a server. It's more of a HTPC without the media pc software.

Might as well put a decent (hauppage (sp.)) tuner card in it and turn it into a HTPC.

Best machine I ever made was my HTPC. Thing makes life so easy.

Streaming BluRay quality movies from my PC to the TV is the dream. gf can also tape any day-time/night-time shows and watch them thorugh Windows Media Player.

that involves taking spending more money away from my mustang and putting it towards something that i dont really use anymore. lol.

The other pc is there. it does the job not spending more money on it lol.
