Welcome to the Steel Series Black Ops Leagues Season 2 Report for Round 6
This report will be released weekly detailing each previous and upcoming round, highlights, predictions, general comments, videos and so forth! Expect a lot of work out of our Leagues Content team as they cover 32 teams and 220 matches for the entirety of the Leagues! Each report will cover all 4 leagues.
Again, we'd like to take this opportunity to thank the community, CG staff and of course SteelSeries for their great contributions. We look forward to covering some amazing matches during the Leagues. Good luck to all those competing!

While this map can be predominantly mid-to-long range shoot-outs, it does also have the potential for many great rush strategies. Smoke grenades can also play a large part in this map, enabling teams to get to sneaky places behind enemy lines. Not to mention, there are a decent amount of great grenades and angles to be worked. One said negative about this map is the abundance of 'headshot' spots - meaning areas/barriers/rocks etc where you can only see the tip of the enemies head but they can see you near entirely.

Archaic Esports vs Exposure
Write-up: Archaic came out with the win the previous night against Fury despite just arriving back in Aus that night! (Trust me, the jetlag is terrible 
) It was a close match but without prep a CGi match for any team is a struggle. Archaic will be putting in the usual effort for the matches they have previously played and without the distraction of the XP event they will be pulling all the stops to get that 8-0 record in CGi! Exposure was also surprising to me this week pulling those 13 rounds on Malice who are a very formidable team. Although they did manage to pull those rounds I don't see them taking out this map against 1 of the favourites of CGi this season and it's purely due to this team's lack of experience. As usual you'll have the greats of Archaic like Macka, Scriblz and Unleash all pulling their weight. BUT, hopefully Maus can pull out some great plays and we will most definitely see the consistent Metal Freak we have seen game in, game out. All in all hopefully it's a good match and if Exposure does pull this off all I can say is what the shit.

Taunted: Five Down vs Malice
Write-up: Five Down in my opinion are the only team who can stop Archaic in their tracks now and ruin that 8-0 win streak they're aiming for. They have the chemistry and the intent to go as far as possible in this competition and are proving time and time again that they are an extremely formidable team. If they put as much time into preparation as they have their other matches they should take down Malice with ease. I say this due to the fact that much like last season Malice aren't putting in enough effort to beat those teams who do. Although Malice does have the players they don't have the time it seems and it's what lets them down in most of their matches. It's possible for Malice to win due to their chemistry and individual skill as a team but Five Down can just as easily match that. Malice have players like Ziggy who is known around every COD as one of the best along with Goose, Logiks and Fake but the players in Five Down like Birtha and Willyum are just as great. So in the end I can't see Malice taking down Five Down but regardless it will still be a good and close match.
Prediction: 16-10 Five Down's way
MindFreak.RAZER vs Second Nature: RED
Write-up: MindFreak in the previous week had lost to Taunted and this had come as a shock to me as from what I'd seen Taunted hadn't been playing as great as they had during season 1 of CGi. But maybe this loss could wake the MindFreak boys up and have each of them playing at the best of their abilities from now on (Dazed 
). This match in my opinion won't be hard for MindFreak to take out as they have the skill, the chemistry, the strats and Haxoid. 2N much like Malice aren't putting in the effort required to do well in this competition and they're paying for it (lingering above Exposure in 7th place) so I can't see them taking out this win against one of the top 3 teams. Although if MindFreak do intend to slack off a bit just because 2N haven't been one of the teams to look out for as of yet then they may be surprised a little and possibly caught off guard by 2N. But really there's no doubt in my mind that MindFreak won't win this, especially if Haxoid is playing.
Prediction: 16-9 MindFreak's way
Taunted vs Fury
Write-up: Fury tried their hardest in their last game against the powerhouse team in this competition known as Archaic and got so close to beating them too. Although this loss is significant in their placing it was already foreseen by many and shows that Fury can take out Taunted in this match if they prep enough and then they can still make the top 4. As I say this though Taunted have been getting back into gear as shown by their recent win against MindFreak which was surprising to many such as myself. The Taunted team will be going at it to make that top 4 and will most probably be prepping their asses off to make it too. Both teams have great individual talents and this could be a close match but I have to choose a team to win this and that would be Taunted.

vVv Despize vs [SYF] Gaming
Write-up: Well again last week Despize were disappointed with a massive loss to CGm favorites uproaR. [SYF] are going along steadily, but need to make a push this week to get themselves and piece of the finals pie ( mmm pie ). This week my gut is not voting for despize infact i think i am now allergic to Despize :S So i think [SYF] will mix it around abit this week on Cracked and come home with a strong win against Despize.
Prediction: 16 - 9 [SYF] Gaming's way
UproaR vs Audacity E-Sports
Write-up: Both teams here are leading the pack and have both cemented themselves into finals. Uproar have gone undefeated this season and are looking extremely strong. Whilst Audacity have been winning game they have the little blemish of a loss next to their name, and an extremely close win against Baw5, meaning if only 1 or 2 things didnt go their way they might not be in such a good position. Non the less they are an extremely good team and will push Uproar to and beyond their limits.
This match is easily the match of the round, and may be a little insight into how finals might pan out. I expect fast, close rounds with audacity coming up trumps in overtime or by only like 1 round.
Prediction: 18 - 17 Audacity's way
Second Nature: Blue vs ProXimity: Team 1
Write-up: Ok to be honest, ProX won't win, in fact I don't think they'll win a match and will finish out this season with 0 wins and 8 losses ( ). 2N: B have proved themselves to be able to compete with the top contenders and this week will post a similar result to every other team in the comp. With ProX seemingly having no confidence 2N:B will cruise ahead to a comfortable win.
Prediction: 16 - 9 Second Nature: Blue's way
Taunted: Baw5 vs Super Heroes in Training
Write-up: Taunted are coming into this week full of confidence, Winning last week by a massive margin and reconfirming themselves as a team to beat. If they win 1 more match they will pretty much cement themselves into finals position. So they'll be going all out this week to do this. On the other hand, we have SHjT a good team, with the potential to cause Baw5 some issues. I think this will be a fairly close game, both teams are fighting for a spot in the finals and this should bring some an awesome competitive match.
But i have to chose a winner, so i'm gonna go with Baw5. They a quality team and look extremely dangerous after last weeks match.
Prediction: 15 - 11 Taunted: Baw5's way

Last Rites Vs. Proximity: Team 2
Write-Up: A big game for both teams, LR have tasted their first victory and Prox handed a win to Exclusive in an Overtime victory. Both teams will aim to keep this trend going and keep winning. I see the game being close, but in the end Proximity will prove to strong and will take the game.
Fez's Prediction: 14-10 ProX's way.
Exclusive Vs. Paradox
Write-Up: Exclusive lost narrowly to the front runners Proximity, and will hope to take the win this week, Paradox beat Aspire last week, which will be a massive confidence boost to their team. I see Paradox just being too strong for Exclusive by using an array of fast pushes countered with some steady slow pushes.
Fez's Prediction: 13-11 Paradox's way
Afternoon Ass Vs. vVv: Afterlife
Write-Up: A very important game for both teams, if either wish to make finals it is absolutely vital that they win this match. Afterlife just received a narrow loss to Last Rites, and Afternoon Ass beat 1SK narrowly. I believe this match will be a very close game, with both teams very eager to win their remaining games so that they can make finals. I see Afterlife pulling some early rounds on their attack, before Afternoon Ass adapt and pull it back into their favour before Afterlife finish them off with a tight defensive setup.
Fez's Prediction: 15-10 Afterlife's way.
Taunted: Aspire Vs. 1SK: BLACK
Write-Up: Taunted: Aspire are currently sitting pretty on 4 wins and 1 loss for the season whilst 1SK: Black aren't doing so well with only 1 win under their belt. Seems like 1SK's season is all but over but they'll be looking to push hard to get the rounds on Aspire and continue to build chemistry so that they may hopefully continue into MW3. On the other side of the coin Aspire will be looking to get as many rounds as possible to hopefully steal first position from current front-runners Proximity who are stationed atop the ladder via round ratio. I see Aspire winning this one easily.

Impact vs Demize
Write-Up:Impact pulled an absolutely massive win against Vorpal on Villa, the end score was 16-1! Impact are looking very promising for CGd as they have not lost a single match yet. Cracked should be a fairly interesting map. Although Demize have a lot more on their plate as they still unfortunately haven't completed their match on Villa against Phenom. It is believed that Impact will pull a big win against Demize.
Prediction: 16-8 Impact's way
Cruelty Incarnate vs Vorpal
Write-Up:Vorpal are still sitting in last place after another defeat to first place Team Impact. Since their chances of getting a place in the top 4 is very slim, nearly impossible, they will be wanting to strike up a win against one of the best teams in CGd and gain some points next to their name. In saying so, Cruelty Incarnate came off a narrow lost to Volume which surprised many people and teams throughout the competition, but in my opinion I don't believe that game will have an effect on their performance this week

Shockwave's Prediction: 16-7 Cruelty Incarnates way
Quadplay vs Volume: Team 1
Write-Up:Both teams have experienced a few wins and losses, but have that throughout the competition that they are both strong contenders to win CGd, along with both being in the top 4 region at the present point in time. After both teams won Hanoi last round, they will want to continue on with this form, especially Volume whom beat undefeated Ci in a very good match. Quadplay can definitely win as they do have some great underrated players, this leading onto this match being the one to watch and it may decide on who makes the top 4.

Shockwave's Prediction: 12 – 11 Volume's way
Phenom vs Stay Moist
Write-Up:Stay Moist are currently sitting second last on the ladder, but don't lose your hope in them too quickly as this game may change things. Both teams are quite experienced and are familiar with the map Cracked, it should be interesting. It is believed Stay Moist will win by a few rounds.
Prediction: 16-13 Stay Moist's way
