Two weeks ago, i got my phenom II X4 965 and installed it. It didnt come with drivers haha. I found out the speed of it by right clicking my computer and going to properties.

There has never been a need for CPU drivers. The CPU speed will show up the minute you start up the computer. And the motherboard will identify the CPU as soon as its put in the computer and powered on. cpu-z in my mind isn't 100 % accurate. I wouldn't rely on it too much. The only sure-fire way to get your CPU's Gigahertz measurement is in the bios. Obviously this wouldn't be "at the moment" measurement, seeing as the computer isn't under load, so therefore, cpu-z could come into play here.

I hope this helps

Mine just tells me what I've got it set to, not what it's currently running at.

All i see is you trying to bring the topic down.

So what you are basically saying is that we shouldn't help people and give them helpful answers? Thats what it sounds like. The OP asked a question. I gave him some answers. The reason i replied to what i quoted was because the question that was asked by a poster, was pretty much a stupid question.

If you arent going to help the OP in a useful topic reply, then dont post.
