True,
And yeah they're really cheap now, and same goes for the x6 aswell.

AMD Phenom II X6 1055T - $159
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition -$185
AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition - $ 213

although i really only do recommend AMD for budget builds etc.

& np dude glad to help.

They would be, as most games do not even support quad core, let alone sixcore.
cod4 for example, doesn't support quad's although you do get better load times

As I said above most games don't support anything above dual, but eh.

You know the i5 2400 is a much better cpu in EVERY regard and you could get one in the same price bracket.

Image

Hell, the i3 2100 beats the x4 965 in MOST games, which is faster than the 840 and it's only $125. That's right - much much better CPU for $20 extra - there's really no ******* reason to get an amd at all these days. The only reason you recommend them or think they are worth it is because you swallow fanboy nonsense about them being "good value" when in reality they and you are just covering up their own lack of knowledge by claiming that AMD serve any purpose other than stopping intel dominating the market.

only reason id go another AMD is because i don't wanna fork out more money for another motherboard + ram, no reason not to when my mobo still supports every AMD on the market and the games i play are playable..
