Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Preferably from people who know alot about computers.
I am wanting to build up my system for BF3.

I do only have a GTX 460 at the moment but I will be upgrading sometime next year

Just overclock it.... Both the 768mb and the 1gb versions overclock very well.

GTX560/ti is basically just an overclocked 460.

I don't really feel comfortable overclocking tho because I am told it lowers the lifespan?

Yes but how long to you keep hardware for.....

I have never had anything die from overclocking... (Other than pushing stuff way to hard and i knew there was a possibility of it going bang)

If you keep them within safe levels and are not trying for crazy clocks then nothing will happen.

My 460's run @ 850mhz / 2200 mhz and have been since I got them when they first come out.

I'd assume the life span of PC parts would be fairly huge, seeing as there are alot of the older IBM machines and that still kicking around, wouldn't worry about an overclock, unless it was something ridiculous.
