Hey all,

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is the next CS game to be released in 2012, continuing the franchise - CyberGamer is showing their support for the cause by the creation of the forum - upon the release of the game, we will likely support it as a competitive title!

What We Know So Far
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) will expand upon the team-based action gameplay that it pioneered when it was launched 12 years ago.
CS: GO features new maps, characters, and weapons and delivers updated versions of the classic CS content (de_dust, etc.). In addition, CS: GO will introduce new gameplay modes, matchmaking, leader boards, and more.

Platforms PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Mac
Game Modes Casual & Competitive
Map Types Both defuse (de_) & hostage (cs_) maps will be returning
Release First Quarter of 2012
Engine Latest Source engine (as seen in Portal 2)

I love how Valve keep releasing the same game, the same maps, etc... Just as IW/Tre does for CoD, yet... It shits on CoD!!

Can't wait for this game, should be good.

Wonder if the game play will feel different.

csgo_sugarcane - map setting and layout are reminiscent of cs_assualt
csgo_shoots - completely new..?
csgo_stmarc - completely new..?
csgo_baggage - this I think is a remake of 747 from 1.6
