hey looking at getting a new laptop this week.
my budget is anything under 4k
not sure if i should get the asus G74
www.jbhifi.com.au/computers/asus/17-inch-notebook-sku-70310/

or the Alienware m17x r3.
www.dell.com/au/p/alienware-m17x-r3/pd?oc=t511124au1&model_id=alienware-m17x-r3&

im looking for something that will replace my computer and has decent battery life,
i will also be using it for gaming so will need to be good enough for recent FPS games coming out.
If anyone know anything else thats decent please link to to a site that i could maybe buy it from.

thanks.

dont get a laptop . omg . for under 2k you will be able to get a desktop that would shit all over that for games. get a gaming build for under 2k off karma it and buy a cheap $700 laptop for school etc. trust me its not worth buying a laptop .

shouldn't spend more that 1500 on a laptop...

They go out of date to quickly to justify spending big $$$

+ all the desktop replacement style lappys are heavy, and have shocking battery life.

Need to know the games you will be playing on this notebook (I'm assuming WoW is one of them).

Have you looked at these notebooks?

If battery life and weight is not too important you can custom build a desktop replacement (A laptop with a desktop CPU) from the sites below.

Don't live in Victoria sorry, however, since your budget was under 4k surely you can foot the bill for shipping.

I believe this one was recommended in another thread, if you have any questions PM firewizard about it as he is Cybergamer's resident MSI representative.
