SteelSeries. Known as one of the best gaming company for producing their top of the line gaming peripherals. Going from mice to keyboards and even headsets! People may think its a different look slapped with a new name like some of the competition in gaming peripherals -cough- Razer -Cough- it isn't. It's a whole "new" headset completely redesigned along with new internals and external looks. When looking at the top of the box you can see the biggest Gaming and Non-Gaming Organisations, fnatic, SK-Gaming, MIBR (Made in Brazil) and last but not least Evil Geniuses. These are the Companies/Organisations which help make the Siberia v2's the wonderful gaming headset it is today.

Based on the award-winning SteelSeries Siberia Full-size Headset, the SteelSeries Sibera V2's features major enhancements in sound quality, comfort and its microphone. Every element of the SteelSeries Sibera V2's has been changed for competitive gaming.

Experiencing this first hand, the comfiness of Siberia v2's is out of this world, i can play for hours and i still don't even feel the "itchiness" or pains around my ears like i usually do with headsets. The mic quality is amazing with crystal clear high, low and mid tones, not to mention the ability to hide the microphone away into the left headphone globe us very handy. Some people turn a blind eye towards this headset due to the elastic band across the top used for both stability and a head "molder" but its actually very comfortable and i don't find the "Pushing" or weight feeling on my head as some people fear. Along with the one meter cord length you get an extra two meters extension.

Some features that are now new and included in the SteelSeries Siberia v2

Closed type headphones
Pull-out "Retractable" microphone
Integrated volume control located on the sound-box on the cord
A cable length of One meter + a 2 meter extension
Professional gaming optimized microphone with snap-free reflexes
50mm drive units

Headphones

Frequency response: 18 – 28.000 Hz
Impedance: 32 Ohm
SPL@ 1kHz, 1 Vrms: 112 dB
Cable length: 1 + 2 = 3 m
Jacks: 3,5 mm

Microphone

Frequency response: 50 – 16.000 Hz
Pick up pattern: Uni-directional
Sensitivity: -38 dB

You can even get a set of these babies shipped over from over-seas in all sorts of different colours! Some pictures down below are some examples of what colours are available.

Games used with this headset
~ Call of Duty 2 ~
~ Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare ~
~ Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 ~
~ Call of Duty: Black ops ~
~ Minecraft ~
~ Left for Dead 2 ~
~ League of Legends ~
~ BulletStorm ~
~ Team Fortress 2 ~

The sound quality from these headphones are out of this world on all those games. Going from MMORPG's to FPS (First Person Shooters) even to Ventrilo and Teamspeak 3. I can hear everything clearly, nothing statically and better yet i have had not one problem with this headset and i've had the Siberia v2's since early January this year.

The soft leather pads which are full of foam that are the ear cups which surround the ears, are very soft and comfortable due to the leather/foam combo.

Conclusion

These headsets are well worth the ~$120 you spend anywhere, with all the features and sound quality along with liability is very worth the price. SteelSeries being able to uphold their reputation for their top of the line gaming peripherals does not surprise me, some of the stuff they have been releasing lately is unbeatable.

I rate this headset a 4/5 stars fo all of the features being able to work together in the way it does. Light-weight, sound producing and comfort is great. I have noticed that a couple times the headset would randomly drop in sound from highest volume to lowest and continuously changing. After a simple un-plug and re-plug fixed that. The cord is a tad link, for an extension i think it doesn't need to be as long as they have made it. These headsets have no run against the Audio-Technica ATH-AD700 Dynamic Audiophile Headphones I would personally spend the extra ~$30 and go out to buy a set of the ATH-AD700's.

Hope you enjoyed reading my review,
Josh

constructive criticism, don't take it the wrong way!

you need to focus more on the sound and features that make the headset worth the purchase. Why was the sound good? was it positioning? was it sound stage? etc etc. Why the features were good, why the features were bad etc

That read more like a product blurb than a review.
There was absolutely no information on the sound. Have no reference of how much you know about audio, so we cant really judge whether the sound is indeed "out of this world".
I can tell your trying to sell the product as well as do the review, ive been in that position several times before. Always give a proper review, ends up the best.

The amazing quality within this headset is due to the quality sound of Surround Sound Virtual 7.1 in-built sound card.

SteelSeries being able to uphold their reputation for their top of the line gaming peripherals does not surprise me, some of the stuff they have been releasing lately is unbeatable. I would say other then the SteelSeries Xai, the SteelSeries Siberia v2's have to be the best thing SteelSeries have ever released to this day.

I rate this headset a 5/5 stars for all of the features being able to work together in the way it does. Light-weight, sound producing and comfort is great.

I raged at the bold parts. The first one almost made me close the page.

for next time:
more experience
more review
less "omg 5/5 amazing" you need to illustrate some flaws. Every product has them.

Positioning is sound-stage..... :/

But you need to compare this headsets with others....
