Welcome to the Steel Series Black Ops Leagues Season 2 Report for Round 6
This report will be released weekly detailing each previous and upcoming round, highlights, predictions, general comments, videos and so forth! Expect a lot of work out of our Leagues Content team as they cover 32 teams and 220 matches for the entirety of the Leagues! Each report will cover all 4 leagues.
Again, we'd like to take this opportunity to thank the community, CG staff and of course SteelSeries for their great contributions. We look forward to covering some amazing matches during the Leagues. Good luck to all those competing!
Without further adieu, here is the SteelSeries League Report ~ Round 7

Grid is made up of a series of small buildings, hangars, and generators across a snowy landscape, with a power/comms grid at one end. This map is supposed to resemble a communications antenna, similar to the Duga-3 array near Chernobyl (codenamed Russian woodpecker). On the East side of the map, a large area with lots of snowy foliage are ideal spots for snipers, but will hardly be used unless the defending teams fully attacks spawn. Most of the fighting on this map tends to gravitate towards the truck in the center of the map and the two buildings on either side. Teams will be faced with a mix of rushes and slow assault pushes so adapting and effective rotation will be a must. Teamwork will be tested and preparation will be a must. if the trend from the past rounds continues, teams will have to be on their toes and expect the unexpected if they are any chance of taking victory in their respective matches.

Archaic Esports vs Taunted: Five Down
This is by far the match of the week and possibly season. Reason being is Archaic need to take this win to go 7-0 in CGi and 5down are the only ones who can stop it now! Archaic took their last win against Exposure extremely comfortably and definitely show they are one of the best teams to compete on this game with their 16-1 victory. 5down narrowly lost to Malice in their last game which came as a surprise to me as Malice hadn't been putting in as much effort as they could from what I'd seen. None the less this should be a wakeup call to the team of 5down and this loss should smack them in the face and tell them they need to get their asses back into gear if they intend to be tough competitors come finals. Both teams have strong players 5down with their key players Willyum and Birtha and Archaic with their two key players Macka and Scriblz (It's hard to choose players from Archaic because they are all extremely good and consistent). This will be a close match in my opinion but I see Archaic taking it as they really want to go 7-0 this season and I have seen throughout the previous week both Willyum and Birtha stating that grid isn't their best map and that they were hoping it wouldn't be grid. All in all this match is going to be one of the best this season and if it can be showcased by Bio himself be sure to tune in!

Malice vs Second Nature: RED
Write-up: Not much to say about this game, 2N don't put in the effort required to come out with the wins and so they suffer the consequences of placing exactly as they did last season. I will congratulate Malice though on their great win against 5down as it came as something unexpected to me and it was nice to hear my buddy Fake was clutching like a baws 
Back to the writeup of this game though, 2N could get some rounds to up their tally but won't come out with the win as regardless of Malice's preparation for this match they have better chemistry and individual skill in my opinion. So really, Malice to take out this game and hopefully we can see some nice plays from Logiks and Fake again.

Mindfreak.RAZER vs Fury
Write-up: Mindfreak came off with their win against Second Nature last week which was well expected. This match could be very one sided or very close depending on the strats and preparation that both teams put in. Mindfreak have amazing players like Haxoid and Fergie (plus all of their other standout players, but to me these two standout the most) so it basically depends on whether they pull the big scores to bring Mindfreaks scoreboard into their favour. Fury beat Taunted last week in their match so a big congratulations to them. This also came as a surprise to me but I guess it was foreshadowed as Taunted weren't as strong from the start without their line-up from last season. So really it is possible that Fury could pull off an upset as they do have players like Rampage and Sten who are pretty dangerous to come up against. Anyway with this game I am going to tip Mindfreak just because they have the skill, chemistry and mindset to take it out, but it could go either way.

Taunted vs Exposure
Write-up: Much like the 2N game there isn't really much to say but bad luck to the Taunted guy's for their loss last week. Exposure basically got absolutely demolished by Archaic in their match and so really I don't see them taking this win and they will continue with their 0-7 record. Although they probably won't win a game kudos to them for staying together throughout the competition and not potentially ruining it for the other teams! Nino to poo on boys with Razz backing him up!

Carnage vs [SYF] Gaming
Write-up: Firstly i'd like to congratulate Uproar on being added to the CarnageCarnage gaming organisation.
This week's matchup is sort of a dud game, carnage have secured their finals spot whilst [SYF] cannot make finals 
/ But thats not to say this will not be a good match. Carnage will be looking to both impress their new sponsors by both winning and by going undefeated in this season's CGm. [SYF] will be trying to go out on a high note with a win against arguably the best team in CGm, but i dont think they get there. Carnage will dominate both attack, with some well timed rushes and slow pushes, as well as a virtually impregnable defence.
Prediction: 16 - 8 Carnage's way
Super Heroes in Training vs ProXimity: Team 1
Write-up: This has been a bummer of a season for ProX, they've been unable to pull a win out the hat, and unfortunately for them, that trend will continue this week against ShjT. SHjT have proven they deserve CGm by being a team to not be taken lightly. They are currently 2nd on the ladder and are having a ripper of a season. After a big win last week against Baw5, they should breeze through a disappointed ProX.
Prediction: 16 - 6 Super Heroes in Trainig's way.
Audacity E-Sports vs Second Nature: Blue
Write-up: Audacity will be coming into this week's matchup thirsting for blood ( especially echoes because he went 1 - 10 ) for a win after narrowly losing to Carnage last week by only 1 round. 2N:B however came away with a shaky win against ProX also only by 1 round. Unfortunately for 2N, they are pretty much unable to make finals, they need every possible outcome to go in there favor, as well as needing to beat Audacity this week by approx 10 rounds or more. Audacity will want some momentum going their way come finals, so i think they'll come away this week with a solid win.
Prediction: 14 - 10 Audacity's way
Despize vs Baw5
Write-up: Despize last week got a nice win on the board against a strong [SYF] outfit, so they will want to continue this against Baw5 and going out a winner. Baw5 have hit struggle street, they were smacked around the ballpark this week, and i think that loss will either brake Baw5 or make them stronger. They need this win to make finals and make up for last weeks thrashing.
Due to the necessity of a win, i think Baw5 will come away with the win.
Prediction: 15 - 9 Baw5's way

Paradox Vs. Last Rites
Write-Up: With Paradox needing this win to keep their final chances alive, they'll be looking to beat a bottom placed Last Rites team by a fairly large margin to help boost their round ratio to give them the edge over other teams with similar win/loss ratio. Last Rites will be looking to try pull something big to finish the season with a bang, but I can't see it being enough against Paradox.
Prediction: 16-6 Paradox's way.
Taunted: Aspire Vs. Exclusive
Write-Up: This game will probably be one of the biggest games of this season in the CGa League with two top teams going at it, both of these teams are battling it out for that second spot. Aspire are coming off a loss against 1SK and will be wanting to come out strong, while exclusive are coming off a strong win, this game will come down to who ever can get there attack and defence downpacked.
Prediction: 14-12 Aspire's way (Prediction By Whick)
Proximity: Team 2 Vs. Afternoon Ass
Write-Up: Proximity are currently sitting pretty on 5 wins and 1 loss for the season whilst Afternoon Ass aren't doing so well with only 2 wins under their belt. Afternoon Ass's finals chances are over after last weeks lost to Afterlife but they are still capable of pulling some rounds and maybe cause an upset to maybe change the top 4 positions around, if they put the effort in. On the other hand Proximity are doing very well this season and showing that they can win the competition, even though Afternoon Ass aren't doing so well they won't allow any chances that an upset that may occur, leading onto this match being pretty one sided.

Afterlife Vs. 1SK: BLACK
Write-Up: After last weeks win against Aspire, 1sk will want to continue on with their form and win the last match of round robin, even though they can't make finals, doesn't mean they can't finish in the best place possible and improve in MW3. As for Afterlife, they have lost their last 3 matches and will need to win this match to secure or keep their finals chance alive. With their momentum very low at the moment and 1SK winning last weeks match, this may cause some problems for afterlife, but I still believe that they can prepare and try their hardest.

Impact vs Cruelty Incarnate
Write-Up: With Impact currently going with the flawless season with the streak of 6-0, they will be looking to keep the record and keep their streak. But the challenger looking to take that away is the boys of Cruelty Incarnate, who are second to Impact with the season of 5-1. With the tippings in favour of Impact, 70% - 30% Impact are the favourites. This match should be very close as these two teams are the top teams for CGd!

Volume: Team 1 vs Phenom
Write-Up: Volume have been playing very well these past few rounds; they are on a 4 win streak! Although Phenom have not been as lucky, currently sitting on 7th on the ladder. Who knows, they may still get a win or two under their belt! Grid will be an interesting map, although it is played quite a lot within the competitive side of things. Phenom will really need to knuckle down if they want to win against Volume.
16-6 in Volume: Team 1's favour.
QUADPLAY vs Vorpal
Write-Up: Vorpal have been very unlucky this league season, unfortunately they haven't won a match yet, you never know though as this could change. QUADPLAY on the other hand have been playing relatively well this season currently sitting on 4th place on the CGd ladder. The map this week is Grid which is played quite a lot on the competitive side of things. Vorpal will really need to step up in order to win against QUADPLAY.

Demize vs Stay Moist
Write-Up: Demize vs Stay Moist
This match should be a very close one. Demize are sitting on rank #5 with Stay Moist one rank behind them. Once again, Grid being a much overplayed match at times will still be interesting. I believe the team who strat and put in the most amount of effort will come through winning.
