First game was Roma (Sivil) vs Inter (Muzza255). Inter had a couple of early chances but couldn't make the most of them and then were made to pay by a perfectly timed through ball by Sivil to Vucinic who ran in and blasted it into the bottom corner. There was no score for the rest of the first half and the second half was starting to look like it would remain goalless until Adriano stepped up and nailed a shot into the bottom of the crossbar and in. The game went into extra time where Inter scored the greatest goal ever seen in the first half to go up 2-1. Zanetti ran down the right wing, however, there were no strikers running into the box to pick out with a cross so held up the play. He then passed it back to Cambiasso who played a lobbed pass, perfectly weighted, to Ibrahimovic at the far post who unleashed a bicycle kick back across goal giving the keeper absolutely no chance. Inter then held out for the win. Sivil put up a very good fight with Roma against Inter and looked like he was going to win until Adriano equalised. Muzza 2-1 win.

In the second game, I chose Australia and Sivil chose Mexico. The opening minute of the game saw Josh KENNEDY!!! clean through after a great pass from Timmy Cahill. However, he was unable to finish as the keeper made a great save. The game continued on at 0-0 with Cahill missing a shot from the edge of the penalty area, KENNEDY!!! blasting a header over the bar and Dos Santos blasting a shot over the bar from just outside the area until in the 90th minute disaster struck for Sivil. A poor first touch from a mexican centre back went straight to KENNEDY!!! who skipped past the keeper and tapped in a late goal. From kickoff Sivil played it around until eventually putting in a lobbed through ball to Carlos Vela, but Schwarzer was alert to the danger and got there just before him and made the save. Muzza 1-0 win.

Sivil a little stiff to be out of the competition at this stage after a solid performance.
