Ok I have a legit copy of Windows Vista Home Premium and when for example I will be playing COD4 or CSS it will seem alot quieter so I will alt+tab and check my sound mixer to find that the games + vent or mumble to be turned down in the mixer.

Does any body have a fix for this?

*I have posted this thread before but the problem wasn't fixed and for some reason I don't have a communications tab in playback devices

Edit;

some people are saying it's because of mumble but they don't know what the setting is called to stop it from happening, if you know please post.

Is it just quieter or is it also not playing out of both ears equally?

Whenever I play BC2 I have to go to my audio manager and just change the audio frequency and it fixes it.
But nonetheless it is still annoying.
