Hey CG,
At the moment i have an absolute dump as a PC and was planning on adding a new mother board, Graphics Card and more Ram to it just so it runs better and can actually play the average games. Can people give me tips on what PC parts i should buy. I want high performance stuff.

Thanks Duxxi3

I'd recommend getting an AM3 motherboard (one with an AM3 socket) which will support an AMD Phenom ii x6 (6 core 3ghz which is very cheap) and I believe the new AMD Bulldozer processors will be running the AM3 socket too.

AMD > Intel if you're going for gaming.

The people here commenting ridiculous spec PCs, I'll tell ya mine. So basically it runs seamlessly for gaming and it's not even that high end, I bought it for $400 recently at a sale at Harvey Norman.

Specs:
Manufacturer:
Hewlett-Packard
Processor:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2100 CPU @ 3.10GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.1GHz
Memory:
4096MB RAM
Hard Drive:
2 TB Total
Video Card:
AMD RADEON HD 6450

Yeah so I do alot of rendering for YouTube and a lot of PC gaming such as Cod 4, MW2, Combat Arms L4D2 and Battlefield.

Trust me dude, if you don't think you're that hardcore don't worry about a super mega awesome PC, and definitely don't get a laptop!

You don't need 8gb for gaming, I can game perfectly fine with 4gb, also if he's going the cheap way i3 or someother AMD would be find.
