League // Finals Outline // Rules
Hey Guys!
Welcome to the Round 3 Finals! As you know by now, we've seen some amazing results between each team. Some were expected, some weren't, but still putting up a fight. We've had a lot of unexpected team's coming far into the Finals and showing us really what they got. We now realise that all the players are from now, are the most experienced, and quite talented players which have all given us a great show. But it's not over yet...With only a little amount of rounds to go, and THREE maps being played:
Quarry ~ Karachi ~ Skidrow, it'll come down to the best structure, strats, and talent.

ROUND 2 ~ Invasion ~ Results
Bullfrogs.AirNZ defeated Unique Gaming 13-8
Well as it looks, Bullfrogs get another Victory. They are a well structured team, ready for some more competition. Unique gaming definitely would've put up a decent fight. But it would've come down to whoever played there best and who got the better strats. They both have good players with a lot of experience, so it should have been a great game to watch / play.
MindFreak.RAZER defeated Effectz 13-6
MindFreak coming strong into the finals and also undefeated, there next opponent against Chozen Few will definitely be a tough one. MindFreak definitely came into this match prepared and well organised to take the victory. But not without Effectz putting up a fight. It was a good result for Effectz to get some rounds on MF, but MF being too strong taking the win.
Chozen Few defeated Taunted: Beyond 13-9
Chozen Few would've had there best team out for this one. As Beyond being one of the strongest competitors in the ladder, they let this one slip. cF had played extremely well to get the victory. Both great sides, all experienced players coming into 1 game. Must of be a brilliant game. But as you see by the result, cF were just too good on the night.
Malice defeated envious 13-8
With Malice pulling off some great players , they were too good on the night. Envious being a well organised team, was very unlucky for them to lose as they've come so far in to the Tournament. GG to Malice.
ROUND 3 ~ Maps
Map 1: Quarry
Description: This working stone quarry features massive elevation changes. It's a clear afternoon but enemies can lurk both high and low. So, despite the daylight, enemies can evade your detection. It's a large map with multiple roads and paths throughout. There are many buildings , such as warehouses, garages and offices. Two huge tanks with a platform around them for elevated engagements stand in the map's northeast section. A heavy-duty crane with three player-accessible levels sits in the maps center. You can climb many of the chiseled out marble blocks. While it may take time to scale them , finding a nice corner up top can be worth the effort.
My Opinion: Quarry can be quite a difficult map to play on. There's a lot of nades, camping spots to be in, without the opposition knowing. Attacking on this map can be quite difficult as there's several blocking nades and not to many paths to go to. There's 2 flanking, 1 middle path to go too. Should be a good match to play on. See who's the better team.
Quarry Callouts!

Map 2: Karachi
Description: This map is set in a burned-out desert town at dusk, with clear conditions and decent visibility. Ground zero dots the center of this map, so watch your step, as claymores can lurk in this rubble. This map's southern sections has an outdoor market with a couple of multi-storey buildings. The northern section features a good size hotel, bus station and cafe. With a large parking lot to the east and a warehouse and waterfront to the west, there are plenty of places to get into trouble. There aren't many lines of fire for sniping, but you may have to make a long shot or two.
My Opinion: Karachi is a great map to play on. It has a lot of cover to come up against, but also some good nades to get the rushers. It has many buildings to go into, also go on top of some. It's a great map to be 2nd and decider to see who will come up with the best tactics.
Karachi Callouts!

Map 3: Skidrow
Description: Urban city fighting. In and out of apartments close range engagements.
My Opinion: One of my personal favorite maps. It's all covered in buildings and camping spots to go to. Not to many nades so it'll definitely come down to the best accuracy with guns. There are some good rushing strats, but it will come to the team who know's where to go and what there doing.
Skidrow Callouts!

Predictions
Mindfreak.RAZER vs Chozen Few
Two fantastic teams coming up against eachother. Mindfreak are a very strong team, but cF also have the experience and chemistry between eachother. They've been together for a while now, so they should be quite confident in the match. As for MF, they've been together for a while, competing in all different ladders, undefeatable in many of them...But this one will definitely be close with MFwinning the first map, then cF second map, and then MF taking the victory.
Predicted Score: 2-1 (
Mindfreak's way)
Predicted MVP: DeNz26
Taunted: Beyond vs Malice
Both very structured teams, will be a fantastic game to watch. Beyond being nearly unbeatable throughout the Tournament, but Malice have some decent players to put up a good fight. But Beyond have some very talented players that have good prep, hopefully they'll be focusing on this a lot more to confirm the win. But Malice will surely be there stratting constantly.
Predicted Score: 2-0 (
Beyond's way)
Predicted MVP: Cartzyy
Bullfrogs.AirNZ vs Effectz
Also both very well structured teams. Loads of experience between both teams and also all of them have great chemistry. I think it could be a close game but FX taking the win. FX also have some fantastic players that have been around competing for ages now, so hopefully we can see what they got in this upcoming game. Wouldn't be too bad if it could get recorded or shoutcasted. But Frogs are a great side, also with some awesome players. Both teams have heaps of experience , and are quite talented, hopefully they can take it to the field.
Predicted Score: 2-1 (
FX's way)
Predicted MVP: ml219
Biig_Riigs Predictions

Predicted Score: 3-0 (Beyond's way)
Predicted MVP: Sour
Bullfrogs.AirNZ vs Effectz
This is such an even skilled game, i think that effects endless strating and scriming will take them over the line
Predicted Score: 2-1(FX's way)

So i asked FRENZY_NZ & BiiG_RiiG_nZ to answer a few questions about Chozen Few - Thanks very much for taking your time to answer these.
1. What are your thoughts coming up against MindFreak.RAZER in the Finals?
i think this will be the best game yet, i think it will b overtime on every map in favor of mind freak on skid row but quarry and Karachi we will manage to pull sumthing out our ass as always!! each map should b ***ing close but with our lineup v there lineup i personally am confident for once coming up against mF
3. Which team do you think is your biggest threat?
Mindfreak look to be our biggest threat, but Beyond is also a threat. They will both be slick rick matches.
4. Any regrets / thing's you wished you changed about joining the P2P Tournament?
I went inactive for the last few matches due to real life shizz, if i could have changed anything that would be it. The boys picked up my slack though, so its fine really. Thank god Riig is a dedicated little monkey.
5. Briefly describe each one of your members.
Alleyside - Great shot, Loud mouth, all round good bloke.
Biig_FoB_nZ(Phrantik) - Well he can thrown some slick nades and can rush like a champ.
Biig_RiiG_nZi - Absolute beast when he playing srsly, unpredictable, amaaaazing shot.
INFAMIS_NZ - Never uses his mic, unless in a clan war, best m16 shot around.
PURE-XTC - Great bloke, nicest person in the world, beast shot and great team player.
Skitcherz - This guy never fails to impress, smart player and a great shot on him.
Swift_kid(Kainyla) - Runs around kills every one, out smarts every one, easily #1 player from NZ.
6. About Chozen Few
Chozen Few started up during W@W playing hardcore s&d. We joined CG along side sBd and bD, and became one of the more dominant clans on the mw2 ladder. A few players went inactive so we revamped our line up and recruited the beast players from aFs, and continued to dominate the mw2 ladder.
7. How do you feel making it this far into the Finals?
It was expected, but of course im happy we made it undefeated.
8. Biggest challenge in the Tournament so far?
So far our hardest opponent was Beyond, but Mindfreak look really strong too.
